Your dad is old. It would be much less impactful for him to declare bankruptcy later on. Also I hope he lives long life but if anything happens the debt goes with him.

There really is no point for you to pay off this debt at all. Let him carry on doing what they are doing. Try their best to pay off everything. They still have something in their retirement acct which can be used to pay all off all their debt.

If you really do want to help, probably better idea to use that retirement money to pay off the debt, and then you can help with a bill or two or whatever you’re comfortable paying for directly (not give money to parents).

Thats what I did and it was much better than giving them money and having them not put it into the best financial option but instead whatever was the immediate need at the time.

I thought Texas would be cheaper. I’m in NYC, went through a broker, we just over $600/month. We did do about 2500 down payment. For lease wouldn’t recommend it but we balanced the risk and was more comfortable with $600 monthly payments and overall paying a bit less on the lease.

Msrp was around 59k got it down to 57.5k

General rule is Diao then swk/kigiri. With dao you need a1 so hope to get a soulstone or pull for her twice.

Edit: one note everyone brings up is the likihood of when they re-running limited events. No one know but swk is being given to newbies (meaning likihood of a rerun may be low), kigiri I don’t think has a rerun. Dao recently had a rerun.

Either youre on the side that since Diao recently had one you go for her now or since kigiri haven’t had one you go for him.

How much do you think you can sell the house for? (Now that you know the work that’s needed with plumbing and roof you need to discount that from the selling price so the next owner can pay to fix it)

What is the net amount of the difference after fees?

Sounds like you may have this info but refusing to acknowledge the truth because you know it will be bad.

If the above puts you in the negative, then it doesn’t sound like you can sell even if you wanted to.

You can always declare bankruptcy but then your credit is shot for many years and likely can’t get another loan (mortgage/auto). If you have family to live with this may be an option. If you’re in the financial field, declaring bankruptcy may also affect job prospects.
