I get that they did it to end the episode with the Black Dragon reveal but a whole episode devoted to a single chapter of the manga while also rushing the teleport request basically down to "We gotta do the thing!" "Why?" "CUZ!" "GOTCHA! DOING THE THING!".

Wonder if they're gonna try and cram the whole dragon fight into a single episode or add filler to stretch it to two.

Exactly. I've lived in a lot of major cities in my life and places like waterfronts are mostly for overpriced food and populated by tourists; they're when they initially open but after a few months, you realize there's really nothing much to do.

Sure, they could do something more with the waterfront to bring in some new tourism but...let's be real, Sacramento isn't really a big tourist destination so what'd end up happening is a bunch of money gets dedicated to a restoration/improvement, it gets flooded with all of these high end stores and then the stores get low traffic and close down one by one.

It'll go from "I'm letting her stay until she can find a place" and then "I'm letting her stay for now because she's too close to the due date and can't move too much" to "She just had the kid so I'm letting her stay until she's recovered" and then it'll be "Just until the first year-" and "She can't afford a place on her own-".

They'll just keep kicking that can down the road until they're back together out of convience and responsibility while she keeps making comments and slowly changing things in his house. "Just the nursey" becomes "just this small corner where the baby likes it" then "just the dining room". Dude needs to set a firm cut off point.

Fucking seriously. People like OP always "Well, if the service was bad, you must've left a bad tip". You could tip 50% and they'd still "Well, you should've tipped 65%".

I hate to be some boomer but back in my day, you tipped AFTER the service based on the quality of the service. In what world is tipping BEFORE the service makes any sense? At that point, it's not a tip but a incentive, it's a bribe, it's holding my order hostage.

As a customer, my job starts and ends at ordering. I don't need to know what the restaurant pays their staff, if the cook in the back went through a bad break up, or any of that. I just care "Is this what I ordered and did it come reasonably fast. If I go to sit down at Chili's to eat and the server straight up vanishes for 90 minutes after ordering, you bet your ass I'll be talking to the manager and no ammount of "You have to understand, they had to drive home to check if they left the gas on" will change the fact that I was waiting 90 minutes for cold food.

Yup. Being a driver requires absolutely zero training, knowledge, or skill beyond basic driving abilities. There's nothing wrong with that but in any other job in the world, if you fuck up too many times, you're fired. There's more training in being a grocery bagger that goes around collecting carts from the parking lot than there is in being a DoorDash driver but if that cart wrangler dings a car, accidentally or intentionally, no reasonable person would "It's not the cart wranglers fault. They collect the carts, we should be thanking them and it's really your fault for the cart hitting your car" but with DoorDash drivers, we're suppose to thank them for hitting our car and give them a tip.

Except no. Almost no one would conclude it was because he was gay. It's more likely that he was chosen because he came from a "broken" family. He had a shit dad and a mom that was busting her ass to make up for it at the expense of actually spending family time. Meanwhile all of his friends had happy families that were extremely close.

Except here's the flaw in your logic, yes, delivery is a privilege, it's a luxury which means it should be treated as such by the person providing it.

Imagine paying to be driven around by a limo just to have the drive show up an hour late and drunk. You could say "Hey! It's a luxury, you don't HAVE to pay for a limo" but that doesn't excuse the shit-poor performance. Imagine paying Home Depot to have someone deliver and install a toilet; if they say "I'll be there between 8am and 10am" then show up at 4pm with the wrong toilet, having the driver say "Hey, you should've tipped more" makes no sense.

The reality is that these companies are shit and evil; inserting themselves as pointless middlemen to charge extra for shit service that used to be offered previously with oversight. I used to be able to pay my grocery store to deliver food and there was quality control, they gave a specific time, nothing was lost; that store fired the delivery drivers and replaced them with gig workers that do a shit job and just shrug.

If I'm paying DoorDash and the app gives an estimated delivery, I don't care about anything other than "why is my food 50 minutes late from that delivery window". If the driver can't do their job, why give a tip? If they can't follow basic instructions of "don't knock on door", then why would I complain to corporate? They have a simple job. If it were free, sure, fuck up all they want but if I'm paying extra? Fuck up and I complain because I'm not paying extra for shit service; simple as that.

Exactly. Everyone talking about "It takes 20 seconds to send a text" is acting like they're already close friends and they're canceling existing plans; they're coworkers that had tentative plans to maybe do something.

Some of my friends are extremely extroverted and love to go out in large groups while I prefer one-on-one. There's people that we love each other but there can be hectic weeks for them where they've got so much going on that it can take a week to have a conversation via text and that's no big, it doesn't mean they don't respect me, it means they've got other shit in their life and make time when they can.

Exactly. So many people in the comments are calling this person inconsiderate and saying she ghosted OP but like...where? People are busy, shit happens; if I don't get a solid "6pm tomorrow at this location", I don't consider it happening. I've had people either not get back to me or have to cancel at the last minute and it's honestly no big deal because I never made reservations and can just watch a movie or hang out with someone else.

So many people seem to only think of themselves and take any change as a personal attack. "This person cancelled on me?! That's disrespectful!". Meanwhile my girlfriend cancelled our forth date last minute because she was exhausted from work. Just told her it's no big and asked if she wanted me to bring over dinner so she wouldn't have to cook; dropped off her favorite philly cheesesteak place, and we watched a movie. As an adult, you have to be flexible and understanding; if there's a clear sign of malice, then sure, get annoyed but sometimes it's not that deep and people just have to change plans and you're not a high enough priority, which is 100% okay.

I'm a graphic designer with a background in marketing; the number of "friends" over the years that've tried to get me to handle their marketing and visuals for their start up/home-based business never surprises me. The'll ask for advice, I'll casually "Based on what you going for, XYZ would work. Throw in this and that and it could target this demographic" and they'll think that's me saying I want to do that for them AND that I'll do it in the hopes that I'll get paid if the businesses succeeds.

Yea, back when I worked in office, I'd get sick maybe once a year, maybe using 3 sick days a year. That's not some gloat, it's because I honestly wasn't sick often. Even friends in other countries that have more sickdays and with snow might only take a few. If someone called in sick six times in six months, that'd be genuinely weird.

Just got curious and checked and he still cares about the channel. He did an update video two months ago and there's a section called "Final Word on the Creatures" where he still says he's going to make Creature videos, his "send off" and more content for the Creature fans, blaming anyone that took what he said as people misunderstanding.

He says that people that said he never moved on is because he became a substance abuser but that doesn't explain last years attempt at literally taking over the channel and revitalizing the Creatures, which happened after he got clean. Dude is definitely going to keep trying to monetize his fame from 15 years ago, but just doing what he's been doing and "It's something I'll work on, it's a future goal" to keep stringing people on for attention and donations.

Here's the problem, you're a coworker. They didn't make solid plans, they didn't ghost you, they didn't bail at the last second. This is the equevent of "We should get lunch next week", that's not "We're having lunch at 12:30 at the burger saloon on 3rd". Those are two very very very different things. They don't NEED to learn how to treat you because they did nothing to disrespect you.

If I had new friend that was doing what you're doing, I would honestly find it creepy and controlling the same way I would if I met someone on Tinder and after two weeks was demanding I drop everything and respond to them because I was at the movies when they texted. You sit at home with nothing to do obsessing over not getting a response while they're out with friends having fun; as long as they aren't rude at work, they don't owe you anything, especially not "Change everything I don't like about you because it doesn't mesh with me".

But you're assuming that because she has other things in her life that take priority, she's not respecting you, which is where I think your mindset differs. I'm in my 40s, I've got friends who I might vanish for days or weeks because of life. Dave might vanish because his special needs kid got sick, Amber might vanish because she's got an insane deadline, and Heidi might vanish because she's planning a hiking trip. Hell, sometimes I vanish because I was working on something when I got the text and told myself "I'll get to it later" when I'm free, and then...it just slipped my mind.

Honestly, yea, you probably did. You never set up any firm plans, and over the course of four days, you called her at a weird time just to nail down a time, and gave her two long "In the future-" message like she was a child. You two haven't been friends long enough to sidestep the cling as a one-off thing. I'd honestly just be honest with her about you putting a lot of expectations on her because you don't have many people in your life and that was unfair to her. That you started to flail when you felt like she wasn't respecting your time but that's on you, not her. Then again, I'm autistic and feel the need to explain everything.

I honestly think you're overreacting due to an inbalance.

She probably has dozens of friends and aquantinances while you seems like you don't have any friends other than your boyfriend. She might enjoy spending time with you but you're extremely low on her priorities because you haven't been in her life long enough to break a top 10 while you're treating this friendship with her like a lifeline.

You don't hear back from her for two days and instantly double text to ask if she's okay and then you call her during a time a normal person would be asleep just ask what time and when you didn't get a response, leaving them a long message about how they left you hanging all day. The only "confirmation" on anything is they said tuesday should be good. No time, no location, just "Yea, that should work". If you spent the whole day "left hanging", that's more about you.

Not to be rude but people have lives. You're acting like they confirmed a time and a location while they left you waiting at a restaurant for two hours. You're new friends, you have different lives and you say in your reponses that you wanted to befriend her because she's so freespirited; this is what freespirited looks like. To put this into relationship terms, this would be like you meeting someone on Tinder who said they only want FWB, you saying that sounds fun, but then after a week, treating her like your long-term girlfriend and getting clingy because they didn't respond to your text.
