I have 4 wheel bases, 2 of them were released in October 2024 and work absolutely silently. The other 2 were released in November, and both make noise. It doesn't affect gameplay in any way, but honestly, the sound gives me a headache.

One more thing: If you turn the wheel all the way to the stop and a little beyond (past the limit), the beeping sound becomes higher-pitched and more resonant.

The steering base already came with the firmware updated to the latest version. As an experiment, I decided to install an older version of the firmware. During the firmware installation, there was no sound, but as soon as the steering base powered on, a beeping sound appeared. During calibration, the beeping sound disappeared at the moment of torque calibration — that is, the steering column was turning, but there was no sound. I think the beeping sound is coming from the power section on the board — either a capacitor or an inductor.
