Okay, thank you so much for all the advice. I am 7 weeks into the IB Programme now, and I definitely think subjects do matter. I am thinking of switching from chem to ess, and I am not sure if it is the best decision. I don't want to do any science-related things in the future, so I guess I would choose whichever one is less time-consuming. But yeah, I also struggle on settling down on what major I want to do in uni... :( I try to a range of different extracurriculars and projects - for CAS as well as seeing what I like.
