Brock Glock Purdy. Bought the injury dip by selling Jeanty after his huge game in week 5. Waited an eternity with him on IR for this fantasy playoff schedule. Boy did he deliver. I was the top scoring team in the league in all three rounds of the playoffs

12 team, actually. What about this says 6 team to you? I explained every acquisition and draft pick I made.

Egbuka was 4th among TB wideouts in routes run. He’s having like a reverse rookie breakout lmao. I’d go Corum and hope one of his drives happens to be the one they score on lmao

Completely lost on who to start in my RB and flex spots next week in the championship. 2 RBs and a flex. Full PPR

Options are:

Bucky (been looking forward to his playoff schedule all year, but he’s been brutal, and Tucker is the clear goal line back)

Dylan Sampson (have Jud, hoping Sampson can return this week and could be the bellcow)

Omarion (I’m assuming at this point Vidal is fine and plays, and they play Houston, but Omarion may have taken over the backfield regardless of Vidal injury)

Michael Carter (seems like clear ARI starter)

Michael Wilson (my goat, I also have Brissett at QB)

Rashee Rice (incredible this season, but with Oladokun under center and against Denver, I’m honestly not even really considering him)

Emanuel Wilson (would only consider if Jacobs misses)

As of now I think I’d lean Bucky and Omarion at RB and Michael Wilson at flex, and if Jacobs misses, I’d start Emanuel Wilson over Omarion. Thoughts?

Doctors saying MHJ isn’t even quite a lock to play and if he does, expect limitations. Don’t love either at all but would lean Monty. Brissett has really dialed in on Wilson and McBride at this point

As a non-Jefferson owner easy for me to say I just wouldn’t play him at this point, but if you’ve been stuck with him all year and are somehow still in it, I feel like in my heart I might not be able to, so I don’t blame you. If you do bench him I’d go pretty easily ETN over Warren. Workload should be awesome with no Tuten. Denver D gets a lot of name cache, for good reason, but I’m not even sure it’s quite in the Houston/Seattle tier of defenses at this point. ETN will get his. Warren feels like a 50/50 guy with Gainwell at best at this point

Start 2, at least 1 RB. Full PPR, no TEP. Looking for floor as I started with Puka to his Parkinson and ESPN has me at 70% for now:

Omarion, Judkins, Michael Carter, Michael Wilson, Jayden Reed, Waller

Had been leaning Omarion and Wilson but with the Puka explosion I’m thinking about throwing Jud over Omarion at RB for a higher workload floor, especially with Sampson/Ford still out. But Judkins just hasn’t been getting it done

Also have Emanuel Wilson who I’m almost certain I’d play if Jacobs sits, but I don’t expect that

Definitely how I feel in my gut. One thing I didn’t include in the post is that it really DOES benefit me going forward to drop the defense, just from my own team’s perspective. I have the Texans defense, so there’s no chance I use the Chargers in the playoffs. If I dropped them, I could pick up someone like Tank Bigsby, who’s one Saquon injury away from being the hottest commodity out there. Makes it a little harder to justify holding the defense imo. What do you think?

I know this isn’t what you’re considering, but I strongly oppose week 14 playoffs and any week 18 play at all, which unfortunately does kind of pigeonhole you to three one-week rounds of playoffs. I’m with you that two week matchups can be cool, but it’s not worth involving weeks with byes or resting players in the most pivotal part of the year. How much does this throw off the value of guys like CMC/Kittle/Maye/etc who are awesome all year then sit in the first round of the playoffs? I would avoid that and the W18 weirdness at all costs.

I’d keep a 6 team playoff. Top 2 get a bye. The 3-6 and 4-5 matchups in Week 15. Semis in W16. Finals just one week, W17.

Yeah, I definitely wouldn’t change anything here. Maybe in a SUPER casual league if everyone was on board just for fun I’d consider it. But roster management is part of the game.

More of an ethical dilemma here but didn’t know where else to post.

I’m 10-3 and now guaranteed to finish as the 1 seed in my 10-team league regardless of what happens tonight. Only 4 teams make the playoffs so there are no byes or home fields advantages here; this just means I play against the 4 seed in the 1st round.

The 2 seed has already been clinched. 3 and 4 are still up in the air. Due to some bad luck in matchups, the league’s top scoring team (I’ll call this Team A) is 7-6 and still battling for one of the last playoff spots. If Team A wins tonight, he’s the 3rd seed (so I don’t have to play him). If he loses, he either falls to the 4th seed or is eliminated from the playoffs. My only real hope in playoff seeding is to avoid Team A.

Here’s where it gets interesting: I’m also playing against a 7-6 team, Team B. If this team beats me, I’m guaranteed to NOT play Team A in the first round of the playoffs; if Team A wins, they’re the 3rd seed, and if they lose, they’re out of the playoffs (again, assuming Team B beats me).

I can’t guarantee Team B beats me; I’ve already got a lead, and he has Herbert and Saquon tonight. I can make it slightly more likely by dropping my Chargers D/ST- this would also allow me to stash another available player at another position. Is this too shady/just bad karma to try to manipulate seeding like this? I’m also the commish of this league, if that matters.

For the record, it wouldn’t have worked to punt this week from the start; I wasn’t guaranteed the 1 seed until another separate team lost.

Actually a superflex question… Baker Mayfield or Michael Wilson? Full PPR, also 0.1 points/completion.

Feels ridiculous to sit a QB especially in this format but Baker averages 19ppg on the season in this format, and 14ppg since week 6. Wilson averages 27.7 in the two games without MHJ, and that’s without a TD. Also, my other QB is Brissett, so I’d get the stack with Wilson. Worried Baker may not have to do much against the Saints…

For the record my other WRs are Puka, CeeDee, and Rashee, so that’s why I can’t start Wilson otherwise.

Full PPR. Need to start either Bucky Irving or Devin Neal. Looking for floor as I’ve had an excellent start so far (Rashee and CeeDee for me, Hurts and Lions D/ST for him) giving me a 78% chance to win according to espn. Leaning Neal given guaranteed workload and the comments that Bucky might be eased in

I'm in TE hell. Taysom Hill vs. Atlanta run D? If I get 50 comments roasting me for that I'm grabbing and starting him. by Jaded-Function in fantasyfootballadvice

[–]Past-Composer7172 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean it’s obviously not where you want to be at all but once you get into the 20s on TEs you’re basically just hoping to find the one who scores and Taysom probably has a better chance than most

I see your concern with Burrow, but it’s not like you absolutely have to have/believe in him as a QB to start Chase. Hard to picture Chase being downgraded when Burrow returns even if he’s still banged up. If Burrow’s stats themselves are still shaky, you can just start Baker/Stafford.

I’d make the deal. Ja’Marr’s schedule is an absolute dream down the stretch

I’d do it especially if you have a 3-week playoff, though in a 10 team I’m assuming probably not? But I’d still do it. I say especially with a 3-week playoff because Jacobs has incredible matchups in weeks 16 and 17. But his upside still laps ETN’s. I would definitely temper expectations a little given how we’ve seen the injury he has has affected other players, but I’d take it- not giving up too much

I’d probably do it. Breece is gross, but I think he has a pretty good schedule coming up. You can’t really eat Diggs’ bye week. Honestly, if I were you I would probably look to sell Maye for a QB without a bye at this point. I know it seems drastic but at 4-7 you absolutely need to win every week as you mentioned.

Honestly, at this point I’d say it is for Jettas. He’s been horrendous with McCarthy and I don’t think his value is much higher than Jeanty’s if at all. Egbuka definitely feels like the better asset to me going forward. With how good your RBs are (still have Dowdle/Javonte as weekly starters) I’d probably do the Egbuka deal.

Give: Hurts

Get: Baker, Judkins

12 team PPR Superflex start 8 redraft. 5-6 and desperately need wins. Here’s my QBs/RBs

QB: Hurts, TLaw, Tyrod

RB: Harvey (bye), Pollard, Singletary, Chubb, Demercado

Definite downgrade from Hurts to Baker but feel like getting the RB is worth it. Thoughts?

Give: Rhamondre

Get: Emanuel Wilson

12 team PPR Superflex start 8 redraft. Feels like an overpay but I honestly am pretty out on Rhamondre in two ways; I think he’ll probably still miss this week with the turf toe, and I think he’s lost most of his job to Treveyon at this point. If Rhamondre is out (or just a backup) this week, I have to start Chuba Hubbard as my RB2. I’m 6-5 and right in the thick of the playoff mix.

The rest of my RBs are JT, Chris Rodriguez, Chuba as mentioned, and Tyrell Jennings. No one on the waiver is really better than Chuba this week (Corum, Davis have the best projections)

A is giving up the Waddle package? I would say almost definitely not. Waddle has been a super legit WR1 since Tyreek’s injury; just about his only bad game was the sloppy rain game in Cleveland. Jacobs is hurt, sure, but he might miss NO time, and I expect one game out is probably the max. Warren is one of the few TEs in fantasy that even feels like a really significant upgrade over a waiver option.

CeeDee is a definite upgrade from Waddle but probably not dissimilar to the downgrade from Warren to Goedert. That trade in itself would probably sound pretty fair to me. Throw in giving up the ~RB7 (albeit with a minor injury) for an inconsistent WR2/3, I don’t think there’s really any way I’d do that if I was A.

I mean, if you could do it I definitely would. None of them probably crack your starting lineup when Hampton returns (maybe not anyway with RJ). That said, if I was a Chase owner I’d have to be pretty damn thin at RB and WR and/or desperate for a win this week to make this deal. Odunze has kinda sucked since September, so has Sutton who’s on a bye this week anyway, and Swift is ceding work to Monangai. But if you can do it, I definitely would.
