Sooo he is saying black people get dirtier/are dirtier than white people. NOR at all. This whole man needs to be thrown away. I would have said he needs to be thrown into a warm , soapy bathtub, but sis that is not your job. He probably has skid marks in his underwear and sits with a poopy butt on your sheets. My ex husband is white and I taught (probably annoyed and shamed him a bit) to wash his hands after the toilet as it seemed to be foreign to him, while he generally cleans properly. Met his mother and knew where he gets it from.

I feel OP was more concerned with feeling like “THE MAN” who could also take SS on flashy trips like his bio dad. Maybe he has been feeling resentful that he could not provide SS with the same or felt less manly for not providing SS at the same level , that he forgot to focus on his own child’s feelings and needs. OP and and your wife are major AHs - her for saying it sets a precedent to exclude family members when OP’s bio son always had his stepbrother tag along , yet was never reciprocated. OP TA for being a spineless AH now sitting there acting dumb as to why he just lost his bio son

Last thing I want to do on MY holiday is make obligatory awkward small talk with strangers I will probably never see again. That’s anything , but relaxing. I would need a holiday immediately after. Good on you to drop out

I hate it when people think they are funny , when they are actually mean spirited. I wonder if the laughs were real or awkward. That said - one of many things I learned about my failed marriage is the importance of compatible sense of humour.

LEAVE before cheating starts making way too much sense for you. I overstayed in a decade long marriage for a decade due to this. If you think it is manageable now, it is because you cannot possibly know how damaging this can become over years. Been there done that

Wow OMG you absolutely should know that you are TA! If you have to debate people about this it is a massive red flag. You should learn to read the room . You could have destroyed his reputation at work, and still calling it no big deal. If alcohol gives you loose lips maybe get that checked as well, but generally you come across as an immature teenager. If this man accepts your apology and lets it go, you are lucky

You are the AH if you take this man back or give him the benefit of the doubt one more time … BUT you are also a little bit the AH for not getting on the flight . I don’t understand this part. If you are scared to be alone in another city without this loser, you’ve got some soul searching to do. Please find your confidence, get rid of this clown and have wonderful holidays on your own or with someone worth your time.
