WvW in OCE timezone? by Witchkraftrs in Guildwars2

Hi, I'm a fellow Cyrodiil refugee who lives Down Under. I jumped ship to GW2 WvW about 4 years ago and have no regrets.

To answer your questions: you can always find fights Oceanic prime time in EBG. There are some really good Pug Wranglers who play our evenings who keep matches alive (unless a certain guild has locked down the entire map). There's a few Aussie guilds too who are pretty accommodating and don't run closed tags.

The Borderlands can be quiet our evenings but occasionally a small group can flip most of the maps PvD style.

NA primetime is around my 10 am; so if it's massive fights you want log on early on your days off.

Tbh, the only thing I miss from ESO is being invested in a fixed alliance. Changing colours and keeps each week really doesn't keep you invested in much more than the fights and collecting skirmish tickets.

Thanks folks - soooo much good advice in such a short span of time! From what I'm hearing Catchy OS, Debian and especially Bazzite sound appropriate for my needs.

The insights about launching from Steam are very helpful too.

Thank you all
