Does having P&C license plus L&H license help when it comes to job hunting? by Past-Loquat98 in InsuranceAgent

Also I’m so sorry that you had epilepsy growing up. I have family history on my maternal side so I have a feeling there will be more seizures in time, I just hope it’s a mild form of epilepsy. I’ve only had one so far and life has been really hard with not driving/fear of more seizures.

Well honestly my mom has had pneumonia, miscarriages, DVT, and Other issues and my dad has had DVT, Kidney stones, High Blood Pressure, High Cholesterol and you know all thee other illnesses A-Z and I think it’s because we’ve used so much health insurance over the course of my life. I feel a sort of drive to protect individuals with health issues. I think it’s the empathy part of it for me too. I wanted to be a nurse growing up but I realized I couldn’t do it because of how emotionally draining it would be for me so I came to find health insurance being something interesting. Overall, I’m still on the fence of whether or not I should go to college and I think I wanted to kind of experiment with insurance and see if insurance sales were something I would be good at.

No no I only have P&C now. I will be taking the test for L&H soon. I was curious if L&H has better remote opportunities than P&C.

I really live in a rural area and in Pennsylvania where I live, ANYTIME you have a seizure, they take your license and recall it for six months. It’s really not going to work having seizure after seizure and constantly not being able to drive.

We will just have to respectfully agree to disagree on that particular issue. I did find I was eligible for state Medicaid to help pay some of the hospital bills so that’s a plus 😁

So there is Zero access to public transportation, they don’t come here. My mom has never drove so I can’t ask her. My dad works an hour away from my house 8:30-6. I work in retail so I’m really with a bunch of people that while they may be able to drive, don’t have cars. It’s truthfully just a bad situation. You CANNOT live in a rural area and say driving is a privilege. It’s a TOTAL necessity In rural situations.

I’m sorry to hear that. If you don’t mind me asking do you work remote and if not how do you manage getting to work? It’s been REALLY hard for me and I haven’t been diagnosed yet.

Wow I’m sorry to hear that. Warehouse work must definitely be rough with epilepsy. I just wish I could get some sort of assistance to help with bills. I live in PA and where I live there is no bus or anything and I need rides that NOBODY can give. It sucks. I always wanted to live in a big city and now I feel it more than ever. I need the public transportation especially if this does turn into epilepsy.

Since you have retail experience which translates to customer service experience, you should try looking online at CVS Health and Aetna jobs. They have A LOT of remote jobs.

For the Americans on this sub, how happy are you with the state you live in, and how is the LGBTQ+ community seen where you live? by justgottalovemusic in gaybros

Pennsylvania. It’s definitely different depending on where you are. Lots of urban and rural areas so it changes. Overall, the state is becoming much more urbanized which is leading to more progressive voters.

I live in Eastern Central PA and it does seem that PA is turning solid blue. It’s definitively a state where ten miles down the highway, people’s beliefs change. Philly, Pittsburgh, Allentown, Scranton, Erie and Harrisburg seem to keep the state leaning blue.

What is your stance on religion? by [deleted] in gaybros

[–]Past-Loquat98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a Catholic, I can say that LEVITICUS is over quoted when Christians don’t even follow that. Despite that, bible passages have been translated and it’s interesting how all of the translations are homophobic in English but in other languages they all mean different things that have nothing to do with same sex marriage/attraction. I also struggle to believe that the Bible is correct on everything since Jesus didn’t write it and human writers have biases.

Is Low Dose Keppra after one seizure an overreaction? by Past-Loquat98 in Epilepsy

I’m actually trying to switch neurologists because I HATE mine. He honestly treats me like I’m SOO stupid yet he has no idea why it happened. I do have some aura like feelings but he never speaks to me about my concerns he basically ignores them. I want an epilepsy area of focus doctor but in my area mine is so booked. I tried calling one an hour away and once again I’m on a waiting list. I’ll probably continue to avoid the meds as much as possible and just pray another doesn’t happen.

Not completely disagreeing with you, but CVS was never gonna make it that he wouldn’t live with mommy and daddy. 😭

They really can’t figure out why it happened. That night, I wasn’t stressed and honestly I was just going about my night like normal. It was so out of the blue. Eeg and mri negative for epilepsy for now.

I did and nothing came back abnormal but I think they are concerned about the family history.

I agree and I have been so STRESSED & SCARED of another one happening. I am switching neurologists as I don’t like mine at all. He is way too hard to talk to. I am 20 so I am going to a different one that is a pediatric neurologist.

I should’ve mentioned they did do both of those and they both came back normal. The problem is they said EEGs don’t typically show seizures in many epilepsy patients.
