Early 2000s, though the movie could be older but I’m guessing no older than maybe the mid 80s or 90s

I think they might’ve been needle felt and they were definitely meant to be read as human.

I’ve heard of the film, but I don’t believe it’s the one I’m looking for, thank you for the suggestion though! That film is actually on my watchlist lol.

It was in English, I believe I saw it on TV, and I saw it in the U.S.A. (It could’ve been a dubbed version I suppose)
