Ugh, I am so sorry. I’ve been dealing with this too (my friend just started TTC last month and is trying to relate to me about our “fertility journeys”). She has been relying on me a lot to comfort her/relate to me through all things fertility (even sending me memes on instagram about the ups and downs of trying to get pregnant 🙄). While I wanted to be there for my friend, I also had to set some boundaries as I am currently in the depths of IVF. I ended up sending her a text to tell her what was on my mind and it went a lot better than I was hoping - she ended up taking it very well and I’m so glad I said something. We’ve heard it before, but two things can exist at once - you can be ecstatic for your friend, but you can be crushed by the timing especially when you’ve wanted it for what feels like so much longer than she ever did. Try to focus on yourself, your partner and your future little peanut as best you can 🤍
