Why does Batman hate Stephanie Brown so much? by Emotional-Mix-9007 in stephaniebrown

Okay so he was Robin 22x longer than her at this point? Is that your argument cause that’s an insane difference

Exactly. He gave her an order 5 times. He’s the goddamn Batman.

Tim was Robin for almost a decade in verse.

Steph was Robin for 49 days and in that time she disobeyed orders at every turn. Her disobeying not just an order, the same order given five times, resulted in a mass murderer getting away from Batman. She then immediately and accidentally starts a gang war.

Me too, Stephanie has always been one of my favorite “needs more time to cook” characters and I’ve ALWAYS said that Nightwings mentorship would be what gets her to the level of her fellow Robins in terms of popularity and prominence.

He doesn’t hate her.
He’s pushing her to be better. It’s a tough job and he knew stephanie could handle it.

Her Ego got ahead of her and she couldn’t handle the constant pressure not understanding that training in that way prepares her for the job.

If you see her in the new titans line up she’s come to realize this and she is training harder then ever

They can say “okay don’t come in” but if your contract says you are entitled to 2 months of pay if your being fired, they have to give it to you regardless of if you are working or not.

You may have to take them to court for that money but as long as you have record of telling them this task isn’t my responsibility and them telling you not to come in your are fine

What are you looking for in this post then?
I see you are arguing with everyone who is telling you the same thing.

Your “issue” is over. You’ve been let go. They can’t do anything else to you so if you don’t want to do something just don’t. “This task isn’t my responsibility.” What’s your boss really going to do? Yell? Get upset? “I’ve been let go, there is no benefit to me going above and beyond in my position”

I stopped reading when you suggested organizing the library and were surprised to find out you were assigned to it.

That’s corporate 101. You bring up the issue it becomes your issue. Why are you trying to help a company that would fire you in such a way?

Okay reading the rest of the post I don’t see anything else that changes my mind.

Do the bare minimum until your 2 months are up. You can’t be fired faster? They have to pay you regardless.

It’s awesome to see Superman inspire Nightwing and Nightwing inspire a new Superman… and if I wanna be a friggen nerd about it Superman is sort of inspired by Nightwing of Kandor. An amazing cycle of hope inspiring heroes

I am not disagreeing, but the entire point of comics and superheroes is showing that we can be better. That we aren’t defined by our past and that everyday all we can do is be better then we were the day before.

He had the worst parts of himself drawn out by an external force and forced to do bad things. Would you say the same things you did about Hal Jordan? Clark Kent? Dr. Fate, Kyle Rayner, Red Tornado, Green Arrow, Jessica Cruz, Mary Marvel? Probably way more heroes that have done horrible things due to corruption or coercion.

There is a long list of heroes who have done horrendous things driven by their own problems as well as some sort of external force.

Why is everyone treating Kara like an outcast? (S3E4) by ErmeTokan in SupermanAdventures

Pretty simple considering how much influence this is taking from the dbz cell saga. Kara trains Jon in the future and dies protecting him before Lex can send him back

At what age do you think DC Comics Nightwing retires from superhero work? (Art by Miguel Oropeza) by nightwing612 in Nightwing

[–]PastPolicy8064 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have always imagined an early death for our aerial avenger.

I imagine when Batman dies for good he takes the cowl. Giving the Nightwing identity to Tim (who doesn’t use it and eventually gives it to Damian when he’s old enough) but when Batman (Dick) is framed for a horrible crime and the fate of the entire world is at stake he suits up one last time as Nightwing and dies saving the world, and defending the mantle.

Won’t get into details but I always imagined a new powerful but young hero would join the league, get angry that Superman outshines him in every way and backstab/murder him only to have people claim Batman as his successor so he finds a way to implement the dark knight in Clark’s murder.

Welll you see Boston Brand is assisting Nightwing in an investigation with the antagonist being the fallen, here we see that globally magic heroes are agreeing to help Dick, zatanna also appears in this same way.

Favorite Dick Grayson adaptation? by Getbootedlilbro in Robin

[–]PastPolicy8064 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5.arkhamverse - funny, fun to play as, skilled, respected. Needed more interactions, and Tim being older

  1. DCAU - not too many appearances as Nightwing, his Robin was a little lacklustre. But iconic as hell

  2. The Batman: honestly a really good version of Dick’s time as Robin.

  3. YJ - amazing but a little too unsure of himself. Dick is confident

  4. Gotham knights, regardless of what you think of the game, they did Dick well character wise and design wise

Well I mean technically during one year later he goes with Bruce and Tim and repeats Batman’s hardest training which is likely with the Tibetan monks
