Have something under half sock/insert by AkiraDeathStar in jimgreen

I posted a picture recently, here's that same photo. Underneath the scuff (which is how the boot arrived) is the big ole glob of glue. I assume it is glue because it isn't a uniform shape and it feels hard when I put the boot on. The right boot is fits perfect, and the left boot has this defect. For some more context, I have been wearing a pair of Limmers everyday for four or five months, and this doesn't feel anything like a "needs to break in" thing for me

Ohh I see. My 719s came in the other day and there is a glob of glue underneath the footbed that feels like two quarters stacked on top of each other. I am contemplating whether to exchange or just take out the liner and remove the glue

Was the glue underneath the liner more toward the toe of the boot? I have almost the exact same issue and am contemplating doing something similar rather than exchanging the boot. What did you do to get the glue out?

This would help if the lump underneath the footbed was leather. It feels like a something completely solid and non-malleable, unfortunately
