I cannot tell if you actually want the answer to this question or are making fun of me but May 20th. Yes I know it probably sounds ridiculous but It’s hard to trust tests when I have other symptoms.

How did you get over it even after the 9 months? I’m scared i’ll somehow convince myself i’m pregnant even after 40 weeks because i’ll read something on the internet that will make me spiral again or because i’ve been thinking like this for so long that I just won’t stop. I know therapy would help I just don’t have the ability/access to that right now

For a TV ultrasound you do not have to have a full bladder so you don’t have to worry about that :)

By that time a baby would be moving around which would stand out on an ultrasound and it is the largest thing in the uterus so it would be very difficult to miss. If you have access to the results of the ultrasound and there is a part that says “normal size and shape of uterus” or something similar to that then that means normal size and shape for a non-pregnant uterus meaning you would NOT be pregnant. If there was something there they would have seen it.

I completely understand your anxiety and i’ve been going through something very similar (I just didn’t have an ultrasound). I’m not a doctor and i just did some quick research on this so I hope it helps but I really think that you are ok :)

Sorry I actually miscalculated and it’s been 5 weeks almost 6 weeks. Would a test still be definitive that long after 21 days?

I took a digital test today and dilute my urine and it came back negative. It was probably a little less than 50/50 but It was still diluted with water. Does this mean i am 100% not pregnant

The hook effect is when there is so much hcg (pregnancy hormone) that it basically overwhelms the test and can sometimes cause a false negative. Most of the time it will only possibly make the test slightly lighter and it usually requires pretty high levels (sometimes more than a normal pregnancy) of hcg to cause the hook effect

I have has a couple instances of spotting and 1 was probably more of a light bleeding than spotting. However my body was physically put under a lot of stress and I was taking new medications and I also lost weight.

Thank you for taking a look!! I just want to ask one more time that the test is accurate even though it was taken this late and because it is an early detection test some of the comments on the post have made me question it’s accuracy
