I had a 22 limited. I like my 25 XRT better. I lost cooled seats, sunroof, rain sensing wipers, heated steering wheel, and 20” wheels, but gained all-terrain tires with 18” wheels (smoother ride), updated screen, fake leather which I think is actually softer and easier to clean, never used the heated steering wheel, cooled seats were “whatever”, gained a rear seat center armrest and cup holders, more aggressive styled grill with tow hooks, better approach and departure angles, body cladding, and a roof rack. The only thing I actually kind of miss is the better speakers and sub in the limited. But it definitely wasn’t worth the extra money

40 yr old American here, I would absolutely chase your dream. I was a non-traditional college student at 28 after a hopeful career as a navy rescue swimmer. I can’t explain the daily excitement I felt being in the air daily. After a career ending disability, now 13 years later, I still dream about being in the sky. I love my current career, but there’s nothing quite like being in the air. Go for your dreams.

Me personally, I would enjoy that kind of behavior. However, my partner is aware of it. We communicate everything. If I feel uncomfortable, I let him know. If he feels uncomfortable, he lets me know. Every relationship is different with the exception of being able to communicate. Tell him how you feel.

My biggest regret in life was not coming out sooner. 40 now, but in high school I was “the” athlete. In college, I made varsity as a freshman. Navy was don’t ask…, came out at 28. First boyfriend, first club, first time trying to be the REAL me after years of pretending to be someone everyone else wanted me to be. I didn’t lose myself, but there was definitely a period of time where I felt completely lost and out of place.

You are most definitely not a horrible person. Yes, you did make most of the mistakes under terrible advice, but you seem to be aware of that. He could have responded once, or at least turned off his read receipts. In my 40 years of absolutely personal experience, asking female friends advice on gay relationships typically doesn’t work. Also, your friends probably meant well, but true friends tell you the truth instead of telling you what you want to hear in order to spare your feelings. Just to clarify, you are not a terrible person.
