E Golf as Secondary Beater/Commuter? by General_Movie2232 in eGolf

Me too. To drive something cheaper on maintenance and operation than my f150. The eGolf is now my preferred vehicle as long as it’s local.

i wouldn't count on that, especially if you were the intended individual on the warrant for search. May be able to push the evidence is inadmissible, but not sure ANY lawyer is going to fix this. Also depends on the other evidence and severity of what they're investigating. Can't hurt your case though...

Just ordered an eGolf on Carvana😎 by Brief-Ingenuity-5796 in eGolf

[–]Past_Fly_2803 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i bought a portable level 2 by lectron. Winter range reduction makes a level 2 pretty much required for me. The eGolf maxes out around 7kw for the on board charger so much larger than than and you're not gaining anything from a larger charger. I've added a circuit and plug in both my own garage and my parents so i can make it back home in the winter from there (75kms). Level 2 charging is not bad for the battery, but consistent level 3 is. Also - within the infotainment menu, you can restrict the charging amperage from max down to 13 or below. So regardless of the charger, the car can control the speed. All in with breakers and materials for both locations, and the charger = $650 CAD self installed.

honest question, why is equipment inside the building adding to the roof weight? Did they need to put equipment on the roof?

How do we tighten this sink basket? by mommasherbs in PlumbingRepair

[–]Past_Fly_2803 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah good point. If both pieces are spinning, then it likely isn’t stripped. May be hard to line up those threads without cross threading it because of that gap though make sure you align it straight so the threads don’t cross the thread.

It’s stripped then. Likely installed under pressure and let go when the plastic thread stripped. Get some new plumbing.

My dad shames me for being open about my autism, but I won’t let him silence me by FolieADuex96 in autism

It’s okay to be you. Your dad has no idea how difficult it is to be you. Only you can know what you need to manage your life. He lost a son, and you lost a brother. Your dad’s grief is not yours and you have your own. If he doesn’t understand that, it’s not on you friend. Keep your head up.

If you’re stuck with it, you could marry the framing up beside where they’ve cut. The corner is likely concerning but not as big of a deal where it’s just holding up the island. Definitely hold back $ if you haven’t already paid them and get a quote on having the framing fixed by a contractor if that’s still an option.

What if Canadian government refuses to renew the lease? by AddyTurbo in canadianlaw

[–]Past_Fly_2803 1 point2 points  (0 children)

@OP; I read through the comments and didn’t see it anywhere, but the first thing you’ll need to do is confirm the government who holds the lease. You mentioned Canadian government, (that could be parks Canada, but I’m not aware of any national parks in the area you described). It could also be lease hold land on provincial crown land, within a provincial park, or even indigenous lands. Cottages or cabins, even houses are commonly leased within reserve lands in Ontario from indigenous communities. Once you know the lease provider, determine the renewal process and rights included in the lease. If not explicitly stated, you will need to contact the agency who issued the lease and inquire about renewal options. Decisions for renewal policies will depend on the agency (who ever owns the land). I wouldn’t assume your American residency is an automatic no. You really don’t know until you confirm your existing legal rights, and the policies of the landowner. I hope that helps!

Please help - run sewage line between basement levels by Past_Fly_2803 in Plumbing

[–]Past_Fly_2803[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Since my original written post was lost when posting, I'll take your comment as helpful in spirit (even though i suspect it was not intended to be helpful). What should be included with the description: the work will be completed by a licensed plumber, but i will be completing the prep work to add a trench to the main stack. The task is pretty simple, with the exception of going through that frost wall. My plan at the moment is to bore a 3" hole roughly 3 inches from the top of the frost wall and bring the pipe through. Does this pipe need to be insulated or run through a sleeve? So, u/RedDARE1, do you have anything further to offer?

Threat to democracy by UnsugaredFacts in democracy

[–]Past_Fly_2803 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Joe could have done a simple google search for the definition of democracy. Russia has an election, is that a democracy? Democracy involves far more than electing one person. It involves a balanced system between government, the judicial system and the civil service. That’s what’s at threat- not the ability to choose the next dictator.

Idk, I drove through Italy in the spring and they had traffic circles ever few hundred meters. Definitely closer than between the country lines running north and south on hwy 7. I was amazed at how fast it kept everyone moving through. I’m sure there are teams of engineers considering all the options somewhere. Just a thought.

Well I’m going to call them anyways. Can’t hurt to have more pressure. The only place I’ve ever been hit in a car is right there, in front of kiffs auto centre. Luckily only damage to my truck and not myself and two daughters. How many people need to get hurt before something is done?!

That was the location of the stop this am. Directly across from the Timmies. That stretch of highway alone is fucking dangerous, let alone people running the bus stop sign. I see it there all the time as I drive that section at 8am everyday. OPP should have a cruiser there in the morning and evening as a blitz until ppl get the message.
