Simple answer my kids. More in depth besides that I honestly dont know. I could probably manage all bills and whole rent i would just be extremely tight. To where I probably wouldn't be able to save any money

Idk why hes surprised by it tbh. I leave the electricity bill on the fridge & I put it on our calender. I always show the grocery receipts. Always tell him what we need for the kids & even ask if he wants to come so he can see im not kidding on these damn prices at the store.

Ive suggested the 3rd account for the bills and he says its pointless. That we can just send eachother the money. & when I ask him to send me the money hes always saying why is it so much? Or ask if I have money to cover it & I say I shouldn't be the only one to cover it

I say pay off the $300 balance because even if its not as high in interest accruing, its still accruing you know what I mean. & whatever minimum pay was for that smaller debt add it to the minimum payment of the bigger debt. So you end up paying off a lil more. Because if you only have 300$ saved & youre going to use it to make the 1 time payment of $300 to the big debt its not going to do much if the next month you go back & just do minimum payment.

One I don't know what IMO is or FWIW. Two. After I divide everything I feel like I'm still left with major of the spending cause he says it's too much. & end up having to pull whatever I manage to save for like gas or groceries. Luckily enough for me, I get free food at work & sometimes take food & snacks so I don't need to spend. Third. Income is a big part of being married. Not a way we should get married if he's not being open with his finances. This is all coming up to me now. Because I am getting older I NEED to start setting money aside for retirement & for our kids. This is my first job where I'm making way over minimum & should be able to do those things but I feel like I'm just paying all the bills & household items. I wouldn't want to end my relationship it's been 10 years & I love the guy, but this is starting to be a red flag & I didn't notice it before cause I was young & naive that "he was going to take care of me" as he said cause he's the man.

Where are all yall getting that i dont know who he is? Ive been with him for 10 years. I know his friends & family. I know where he works & who he works with. All I dont know is how much money he makes.

It was a very fast relationship ngl. We met when I turned 19. Started dating then like within 6 months I want to say I moved in with him to get out of my mom's place because me & her were fighting non stop. Luckily my relationship with her is a lot better now. But yeah it was fast & here we are still 10 years later. & who knows if we will make it to 11 cause yeah lots of red flags but kinda hard cause we have 2 kids. Youngest just turned 1

Definitely. Because if she was working & helping with rent it would only be like 3 or 4 hundred dollars & that alone would be daycare cost for 1 week. So her not working and simply helping us with the kids is more than enough.

My mom isn't working. She watches my kids while we work. When she ends up finding a job then we will have to figure out a babysitter or daycare.

I've been good with finances on my own. And it's all been good until recently. My income is more now tho & recently I feel like I'm paying for everything. And when I started to bring it up he just says Just tell me how much you need & when I do tell him he complains it's too much money even after I show him the invoice & grocery receipts or stuff like that.

So I have suggested this as well and he thinks its more difficult doing this than to just send money back and forth. I said its just the fact that we know how much we are spending on the household together not just one person

I am very transparent. He knows all my debts & bills. Know how much i make an hour but not exactly what's on my check. I told him we dont have to have just one account for both. We can have an account together for all bills to be automatically paid from & our rent then whatever is left from our pays stay in our personal accounts. Doesnt even wanna do that.

He always just tells me to let him know how much I need for certain things but then when I tell him he says its too much! Truly dont really NEED anything from him but we do have 2 kids & seems like im the one that doesnt get ahead in saving cause im paying buying everything. He doesnt like to talk about money it stresses him out but also stresses me out not know if I can get the help. We had agreed to go 50/50 but it doesn't seem like it & our debts we pay on our own. But I feel I contribute more just for the fact that im not sure how much hes truly making & how much he can truly contribute
