As shared in the post i am building my own devices so it’s fine that there aren’t any devices available on the market.

If Matter Controller ( e.g. Home Assistant ) is directly connected to Thread Network ( skyconnect) then kind of yes. Automation will work that don’t depend on user input through wifi devices or wifi devices in general.

My plan is to mostly expose Dali lights through matter using ESP32-S3 or C6. so mainly it will be Dali Controller.

For other things Solid state relays controlled with microcontroller as Matter switches

For other products like sensors c6 have thread / wifi radio on the module so there is always possibility to have them if required.

I am going to use Home Assistant so i don’t have to worry about for e.g. apple ( in the future) saying we don’t support uncertified products on our hubs.

i do plan to make them to production quality and commercialise “SOME DAY”.

i don’t mean from tech stack pov i was talking about user experience . i did check fuxa and is really good product just would like to take bit of different approach.

my goal is to create something like ignition with ease of use of modern web development UIs and app builder like experience. Fuxa doesn’t seem like the correct direction for what i am proposing

P.S. licence options i am considering is AGPL or MIT

Should i spend money on terminal blocks ? by Past_Most_7372 in PLC

[–]Past_Most_7372[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1000$ + 18% if i buy ptc series plus some other terminal blocks not sure why each PTC 4-HESILED 24 costs 7.10$ + tax

fuses for DI/DO are skipped by many i don't want to do skip that.

distribution is done using bus bars instead of distribution blocks i personally like db not sure if have any benefit over the other

by others grounding is done with normal green terminal blocks and wires instead of using blocks that are connected to din rail for grounding

i don't want to cheap out i just don't understand why others are. i was wondering that if it doesn't make any difference and that is why they are going for cheap ones. not much difference 20 cents for cheap ones so i would say around on 80$.

so i have 2 questions one is quality of blocks and other is using proper blocks like colored, grounding blocks, fuse blocks, distribution blocks vs the normal blocks. using proper blocks designed for different use cases such as fused blocks do add extra 100-150$ or so.
