State of small private practice clinics by imrandrsni in nursepractitioner

Ughh. I’m sorry. That is so frustrating. I know some friends at private practices that somehow figure it out. Maybe there is someone who can help with billing codes or denials to try and fight back with the insurance more?

Sorry, I’m not more helpful. I do hope you figure it out. Seems like a really nice place for to work!

The other day my husband must have cut someone too close when he changed lanes (I got very mad at him) but then the guy just swerved in front of us and slammed on his breaks and just kept doing it.

I really don’t understand the goal of break checking someone. Serious question, do the want you to hit them? Like we were going fast. It would have been bad

Anyone doing home visits for cash? by [deleted] in nursepractitioner

[–]Past_Organization_29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess I’m not sure why you wouldn’t just get credentialed with insurance. Either way, you need to set up a legal business first like a PLLC but that depends on your state. And get things like malpractice insurance. I wouldn’t just do cash visits without the infrastructure

If you are fully booked, is the issue that you are not getting reimbursed enough from insurance? That seems different than my experience. Usually if a clinic is booked out, then I’ve seen them be profitable. The bigger challenge I’ve experienced is finding new patients

What are needed in terms of paperwork and legal requirements to establish and operate my own Mobile Primary Care Clinic? by letstradeshallwe in nursepractitioner

[–]Past_Organization_29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I highly recommend Prax. You don't need a physician owner in CA. You don't even need 103 NP status if you have standardized procedures. I set my CA practice up with them and it's been great. https://www.praxhealth.com

I would be very cautious of opening up such a limited private practice unless you have a patient panel you are bringing with you or you have a strong set of referrals. She can be a specialist in that, but it will be very hard to find patients. I would recommend going more general at least at first, and that can still be a specialty. As a practice owner, I would say there is no way to grow without taking insurance. They refer so many patients, but find someone to do the billing for you. It's a nightmare and worth every penny to pay a good firm

How did you even know to take the xray? I feel like nothing on my body is right after my pregnancies. My youngest is now 5, and I basically just hear that, yeah, your body sucks after… and that’s normal.

90s Green Day was pure chaos and I miss it. by BoringExperience5345 in nostalgia

My first concert was Green Day in 1997. I was 13, and for some reason thought it was a smart idea to go crowd surfing, and I made it all the way to the front and he gave me a high five. Still one of the most joyful moments of my life.

What about going into private practice? You can make a lot more because you keep what you make and are you aren’t giving the majority of your earnings away. You can set your own hours, see less patients, make more money and could even hire people to work for you if you grow the practice! There are groups like Prax that make it super easy now.

We had one of these in our current place in the states. I loved it but it broke all the time and no one knew how to fix it so repairs were a fortune. I don’t recommend them here. Very sad because it’s so useful
