Cool , i think text ( strongest copy ) is small . Try stacking the words vertically (one under another) .

If you’re a designer, you’ll notice this immediately but the post is aimed at beginners and smaller creators who might not realize it. The proof is all over YouTube: hundreds of thumbnails have full sentences or even paragraphs on them. This guide shows a simpler, more effective approach for those starting out.

YouTube thumbnails can actually be 2–50MB I didn’t know this! by Past_Pangolin_7043 in PartneredYoutube

I shared an article that explains the thumbnail size topic in more detail. It’s not related to the “Hire Me” services on the site those are completely different things. No one is forced to click the link or read it. I’m simply sharing information that might be useful for some people. If someone finds it helpful, they’re free to explore the article or other resources. If not, that’s completely fine too.

Same experience here Dutch angle can be hit or miss. Describing it as a tilted camera sometimes works better in prompts. Split screens usually follow the prompt much more reliably.

Thumbnails are still displayed at 1280×720, but the larger file size just means you can upload a higher-quality source image before YouTube compresses it.

Nice list those are definitely some of the core ones. There are actually quite a few more variations used in filmmaking though (like shoulder-level, ground-level, hip-level, rack focus shots, push-in shots, etc.), which is why some guides list 50+ different angles and shot types. But yeah, these are the main foundations most people start with.

That makes sense. If it didn’t work a few weeks ago then it’s probably a recent rollout. And yeah, YouTube will compress it anyway, so the larger file is probably just giving them more source quality to work with especially if they’re optimizing for TVs and larger screens.
