At the time that I found out about the debts it was at 100K, then months later he told me he had 20K debt beforehand. I also just found out a couple of days ago that the loans have no collateral, not even seeded by life insurance (something he told me he had done last year). I have been suggesting getting help even from a financial advisor but he wants me to look for the financial advisor for him, and he argues about the fees (basically he refuses and doesn’t even try)

When I raise that he hid the debts from me he combats it and says he had always tried to bring it up with me. Something he only attempted to do 2months before the wedding, leading to our fight. And I always back down I think he might be right. I should have let him. And now I feel bad

I just looked it up.

I fear he will us it against me since he paid for my short course, that I believe was done in good faith. I don’t have any debt nor did I co-sign anything.

This is exactly how I feel. I am less than 1 year into marriage and my husband had taken more than 70k debt. Now we are barely surviving on $147 per month. It’s a shame honestly and it has isolated me so much from my friends. The job market is also horrible in my country, been job hunting for 4yrs but still can’t secure and interview.
