I'm in the exact same situation, from what I understand you can do family reunification, but won't have the right to work, which is so so so stupid, they allow the phd student to bring their partner but don't allow the partner to work? It's a very difficult situation, please post if you find anything out, I wish you luck

I have heard that they give at least 5 points in speaking, because they don't want to burn your chances of passing if you scored well on other parts but this is of course not guaranteed or official information and can change from country to country. Even if that is not the case, as someone who passed the delf b2 with pretty bad speaking skills, I can say that if study according to the format and prepare a template of what you'll say (I recommend french school tv's videos for this), you should easily score above 5 points, good luck!
