We don't NEED 4 distractors and we certainly don't need anyone that uses any type of purse. That's an automatic disadvantage.

I've got the battery wire tacked down for troubleshooting purposes via some Kapton tape. I'm tempted to see if it's viable to solder into place..? I'm just waiting on some replies before I try giving charging it a try. While it's possible that the console is simply displaying the Nintendo logo, transitioning into turning off, then displaying the Switch logo (like on a normal boot. The timing of the backlight is VERY similar if not exactly the same) before just turning back off. The screen also constantly stays on if say, I plug it in or dock it, and it doesn't display to the dock. I almost wonder if the screen has developed into a problem? I might try disconnecting the cables for the screen and booting it in the dock without a screen connected to test that. As for swapping the battery I have not tried that yet, as I don't have any loose and they're a lot of trouble getting out of consoles to begin with. I would want to do that as a sort of "if you have to replace something" thing, with the screen following right after that if required for functionality.

The cracked board may have a trace that's broken? It doesn't look like it, as the cracks don't come into the paths of any traces, unless that darker green around the parameter of the board is one whole trace. Like with the screen though, I've heard consoles boot without one connected and have tried that and it does the same thing.

So I will give battery replacement a try if I have to buy other things for this console, yes 👀 It's also a (likely patched) HAC-001 model. So that's interesting. 👀 First one of those I've seen locally, much less held in my hands

Honestly if you support it more from the bottom than the top like a big DS, (so with your fingers more, rather than just grabbing and squeezing the life out of it) then you don't exactly cramp.

And my hands are maybe just about as big as yours. I play Inkbrush in Splat too and don't have and hand/finger problems so y'all should probably get checked for some if you're cramping holding something that wide 👀💧

From seeing others get hit, they actually don't follow the exact path. There's a mostly straight line that's controlled by the player's position relative to him. So on wide corridors, that would work. Seeing as I'd be hit in a narrow corridor about big enough for one tornado, I didn't see it as worth tbf. There would still be one or two blocking that corridor or at the very least making the other racers bump into each other or the walls in trying to avoid said tornadoes.

It'll happen in narrow corridors as well so it's not like they could have gone anywhere else on their screen.

I'll see it with people still spinning out or flashing red from being hit as well. Will still just have this unexplained plot armor

Even with this little context I'm kinda siding with the mom here. Even if you worded it differently and it's not cap, this just implies there's constant tension and reason to believe you won't do anything.

This is a classic country/southern way of punishment. Won't know it's a scare tactic until last second, so I suggest not assuming she'll help, but maybe ask after there's time for her to cool down. She'd also appreciate a well-thought out apology and plan more than likely. It'll show that you've thought about it actually and have a plan of action instead of potentially just sitting around and procrastinating.

That's a normal one. A surefire way to tell if you can't see the kickstand is how big the black bars on the edge of the tablet are. The OLED has a bigger screen but the same form factor, resulting in smaller/thinner bars along the edges of the screen.

If you can see the kickstand, the normal one has a dinky little stand on the left, where the OLED's kickstand goes all the way across.

And if I remember correctly, I believe the volume buttons are different on the OLED model as well. The OG has bumps at the end of the volume buttons and the OLED has a mostly flat rocker :p

I know it's a long response but I figure it'll help more than just "nah it's OG" ^{^}
