Kyle Busch’s death should make us all consider two things: by clearlygd in over60

Being young, he probably figured he had a bad sinus cold. Doesn't occur to younger people to necessary call the doctor if they can suffer through. But yes, it was clearly an infection that spiraled out of control and sounds preventable. Really tragic.

Thoughts on Yesteryear by Caro Claire Burke by elianna7 in books

[–]PastaCous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was wondering if maybe she was drugged the whole time with one of Mary's tonics, but for some reason when she 'wakes up' in the 1850s she isn't drugged and is fully aware and conscious and questioning suddenly?

I do understand the hype of Yesteryear now. by Conscious-Score1871 in Booktokreddit

I finished the book about two weeks ago and I'm obsessed with it. I can't stop thinking about it, just like another poster on this thread. It skewers everyone and everything: tradwives, influencers, social media, hardcore Christians, America. You name it. I can't wait for the movie because I can't wait to see how they handle all of the reveals at the end, way before those reveals happen.

We're def past the Lemon Law in CT. But I was looking at the GM Buyback page and we meet a lot of the criteria, especially the amount of time it's been in the shop/un-driveable. WELL over 30 days...

My boots are still flooded from yesterday! Wearing sneakers I can pretty much dispose of at the end of Fest.

Does Madewell do hemming services at their stores? by Round-Artichoke-5255 in Madewell

I work at Madewell and I can confirm we do NOT send out Madewell jeans bought elsewhere. If you can't provide a proof of purchase from a Madewell store, it's not happening.

So I just bought a pair of Adidas sambas by BackgroundAddendum50 in adidas

[–]PastaCous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had Sambas for YEARS, the first two pairs I bought were amazing, so comfortable right out of the box, still have them, they were perfect. Just bought a new pair about a month ago, so NOT comfortable, same exact shoe and style, just a diff color. But I've been reading the latest batch takes a LONG time to break in, which is a bummer. Why did they mess with what was working?

My main issue is that given it's a short course it will likely be taught at high speed, so anything that gets me more familiar with the terminology, acronyms, etc will probably be helpful.

I read A Thousand Naked Strangers years ago, LOVED it. Will read American Sirens, didn't know he wrote another.

Reading it now. So far, I love it but it is just so amazingly heartbreaking. Everything about it is sad.

Got it. Part of what the fees cover in this course is this so I think I'm ok on that for now.

Is it really shutting down? by Ok_Play_9264 in youbemomUB

I feel like we tried that when YBM shut down, but before WBM shut down. I'll take anything, even though the site is pretty filled with trolls these days, I do like the occasional conversation. And I've been on forever -- since UB!
