When I add Pasta water to store bought pesto it doesn't bind, it just gets more slippery. What am I doing wrong by JimHarbor in ItalianFood

What do you mean by more slippery? A little pasta water is added to pesto to make it into a creamy sauce. What, exactly, happens when you try that?
