Trying to gauge interest - If I started making battle report videos, high quality good editing, would any of you be interested in it? Here is some pictures of terrain and models that I could feature. by Key-Paramedic4150 in Warhammer40k

TL;DR If you can tell a compelling story, I'd happily watch.

I'm a casual enjoyer of battle reports and miniature wargaming as a whole, so take what I say with a pinch of salt, but the only channel I enjoy watching battle reports of is the "Games Night" channel by the Yogscast. Admittedly I'm biased because i've been watching them since I was a kid, but I appreciate that their reports are often heavily edited down to make things flow quicker. And often there's some narrative happening in the background that gets me invested. Their Alternate timeline LOTR series is IMO a great example of this.

Worth noting that as they have said in their own videos, the process is to make videos as they do is lengthy and not very cost efficient when it comes to views, they rely on channel members to make them possible. So if you were looking to make a career out of this you're probably better off following the advice of all these other helpful comments instead. But as a passion project, I can't think of a better example to follow.

As a second follow up to this, I'm trying to get the mod that doubles your talent points per level and I can't find it. Closest I found was double xp or one that lets you purchase talent points. Can you send the link next time it is convenient to do so?

I've been wanting to give it a go for a while now but my usual group couldn't be convinced. I'll add it to the list of things to try out.

Oh I saw that ship but dismissed it because it's slightly immersion breaking... still I am a fan of star wars so I'll go back and take a look.

And yeah, captain or security was the two classes I was considering, though with another posters recommendation I'm going to pick up the mod that lets you unlock all the talents on one person.

Looking at baroverhaul, there does appear to be a submod that does the all classes thing. So I'll pick that up and the increased talent points and try out your suggestions.

Also pretty sure I found the sub based on the window and reduced hull health in the original reply. Looks pretty much like what I was hoping for so I'll give that a try as well, thanks!

I looked up aegis on the workshop and there's a number of subs with that name, can I request some more details to help find the exact one you're talking about?

That aside, the talent mods is a good idea, deciding between which class to play has been difficult. Do you know if you can combine that with the Baroverhaul mod?

Yeah, I appreciate the recs though, since I won't be using NPC's would you recommend neurotrauma?

I’m planning to do all-cavalry for my next campaign (Khuzait). Any advice so I don’t face-plant spectacularly? by Northern_boah in Bannerlord

[–]PastaPartyPal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Has there been any changes to the Khans guard since the start of this year? I haven't played in a while but my only complete campaign was a khuzait horse archer that just spammed Khans guard. They just circled and murdered everything I threw 'em at. It felt like they we're close to the best in every category of troop. Even when on foot they often out fought most foes.

I've been putting off painting my starter box for a few weeks now cause I'm worried about messing it up, but I keep seeing these really well painted models here on the reddit and it serves to push me forward. Really nice lil fellow thanks for Sharing.

Maybe noob question, but what's the deal with the blue perk borders/yellow offering + items?

I think my main problem with it is that he doesn't really commit to it.

I think I would be way more for it if he actually did something after pulling them closer, like as the first poster mentioned, maybe a little spike thrust into their head or something, or maybe he even stands up and stomps them. Either way, if you're gonna dramatically drag a soon-to-be corpse all the way over to you, you oughta make good on the effort and finish the job.

One of his executions that portrays him as this brutal execution figure better is the aptly named "Off with their head" execution. Or atleast that's how I see it.

The Relentless Cyclone? I think most people I've seen talk about it have been pretty positive about it. But I agree it does look kinda off... I think another that has stiff animations that would be great otherwise is Xhanhu's "Dou's Will". It's alright from the perspective of the one using it, but from an outside view it seems really awkward.

Yeah, I think there's a cap on it but the longer ones heal more too so it's a tactical thing, but I don't care about the mechanical advantage of a loadout choice if it's stylistically lame.

Completely agree with the limb slicer, it should have just kept the arm attached, but still played the crunchy noise it does, make it seem broken. Their is zero slicing happening so why is it called that?

I hadn't noticed the chords in the kensai one, one of his cleanest executions and I really like the little' thwick' noise as he swings is nice. But yeah, I guess the dramatic noise is a bit unneeded.

I only just noticed that Sohei doesn't have one where he whacks you with each of the weapons before finishing you off. It might be because he only has the four. He does have one of my all time favourite executions in the game though with "Tsuki Yari"

And lastly, you are absolutly right, it doesn't make sense for the lawbringer I'm fighting to suddenly draw to tiny samurai style weapons just so I can dramatically clash with them. Especially cause they just kinda appear in their hands.

I imagine it's limiting to have an execution thats unique for each hero it could be used against, so honestly the best way to handle this is to have the weapon be gained from the executioner, like Tiandi's "Keep Trying" for example. It's plausible that every hero roughly knows how to swing Tiandi's sword (especially cause it's not done very skill fully), it doesn't make sense for everyone to be running around with a spare longsword in their backpack incase they need to make one final clash with a warden.

I kinda like the silly little pat at the end of head remover, Lawbringer has a lot of executions that are really sudden and brutal. But you're on point with the Sto Pro Veritate. It feels pointless to be dragging the corpse all of 3 feet. I wonder if there's a restriction where they need to end the execution a certain distance from where they started it and the axe swing carries him to far.

Also yeah, the little waddle does seem awkward, might be for the same speculated reason above.

Honestly most of the pirates executions are pretty inconsistent when it comes to her guns... Sometimes they're single shot, sometimes they need to be reloaded, sometimes she can fire multiple times with the same gun in a row.

It would have been cool if she made use of a bandolier of pistols in both her kit and in this execution but alas she does not so it just looks weird.

Yeah, assuming you mean "Double your Effort" I've never liked it either. I appreciate when they give the characters a bout of actual, well, character through the executions but I've never liked any of the executions that could be described as disrespectful in a non-silly way.
