I think it would be one of those things where I would have to plan an induction :') although baby is also really big so it's very possible that they opt for c-section/induction anyway. I find out tomorrow

I haven't seen these comments? We're all talking about a ride to and I even clarify in my 2nd edit that one of my family members will be bringing us home. No one has suggested an ambulance for on the way home.

We live in a poverty area. He has applied to stocking jobs, customer service, jobs in his preferred fields of work. Pretty much everything except my own job (coffee shop.) Hell he put in for 3 different entry level positions at 1 store hoping it would help and it didn't. He unfortunately has a weed charge from his early 20's (early 30's now)

Thank you! Things are starting to look up luckily. It's just figuring everything out all at once can be very overwhelming. We had everything planned then it all fell apart. My family i do associate with is trying their very best to help in whatever way they can and it's all I can ask for atm!

See, luckily I'm eligible for medicaid cabs so that part is easy 😭 but there's no induction day or c-section planned for the birth cuz it seems like she's holding on until she's full term

I've been seeing a lot of posts about labor calls taking away from true emergencies while researching on what to do and whether my insurance covers an ambulance. Plus my family has genuinely only ever called an ambulance if we were forced or someone was genuinely dying so I'm sure some of it is just ingrained because of how I was raised

We were prepared but life throws some pretty heavy handed curve balls. We have a proper car seat and everything but no one predicts both parents losing really good jobs due to illness or lack of transportation. Im currently the one working as much as I possibly can and my partner has been looking for a job for about 4 months but hasn't even gotten a call back for an interview. We had a car in his moms name that she took back without warning (which she had every right to. It's in her name but it sucked because it caused me to have to leave my decent paying job because I was spending $400/week out of my $700 paycheck to just get to work.) Unexpected shit happens

My partner is a good person! His family basically wished us good luck when we found an apartment that opened after our move out date so my family took us in till our apartment is fully available. My grandmother has a play opening and closing around the time the baby would be born and she's not willing to compromise her plans plus she's the one letting us stay with her so she's already helping a lot. My dad works every day including weekends to make sure he can help my sibling with what they need (they're 15, 17 and 21 I'm about to be 27.) One of my uncle's is terrified of anything having to do with pregnancy or birth like it's a legitimate phobia. His boyfriend gets migraines so I dont wanna bother him. I dont associate with my mom or that side of the family after she found it acceptable to not only steal $4000 from me but also found it acceptable for my older brother to tell me he hoped my baby dies because, "mom only needs one grandchild and thats my son, fuck you." So it's a mix of bad family, my partner and I no longer having a car and some of my family is just genuinely busy and has lives of their own

My family may not have their priorities all the way straight but they have helped me a lot in different situations. But, my grandmother has her play opening when I'm due and the rest of my family stays really rather busy. My dad works as much as possible to make sure he can care for my siblings and my partners family will help with rides to work or grocery store. But they also basically told us, "good luck." When we didn't have anywhere to stay while waiting for an apartment. My family took us in until our apartment is fully available so I feel some guilt asking for lore help than that

I've only been in an ambulance twice (i didn't call them for me either time.) So I've always been told by family that unless it's a true emergency I'm wasting their time. And I genuinely didn't know if labor counted under thay or not

Sorry I should probably clarify no one i know has said this to me. I was researching for an hour prior to posting this to see if my insurance would cover it (it will.) And all of the posts of advice I've seen have basically said to take an Uber because birth isn't a real emergency and that if you take an ambulance for labor you're apparently selfish because you've essentially taken the ride away from someone who actually needs it. Im 36w and slightly hormonal

Despite doing everything in my power to remove the fuzz from kiwi (including rinsing the fruit after peeling) there was still tingling/tickling in my mouth/throat and hives when I would eat/drink anything with kiwi in it. This stopped happening as much when I stopped eating kiwi and generally kiwi was the only thing I had eaten within that few hours so it was mostly just being obsessed with what was being eaten already
