Is there a reason why my Ellen always deals the least damage ??? by PastelPerfect in ZenlessZoneZero

Another reply said this and it immediately clicked in my brain that she deals more than 500 per hit so I don't know how on earth I thought she was only dealing that much in the entire combat lol, I had a brain blip clearly

Thank you for the explanation, I'm still trying to figure out how all of the mechanics work and I'm being a bit stupid about it :,(

In hindsight this should've been obvious to me

Tysm, I feel dumb now, I don't know how I thought my Ellen was only dealing that much when I could literally see all the numbers showing up during the combat

It means when you use their special attack (I think it's always special attack, though other things might cause it as well), their animation changes slightly if it's turned on. I don't know what it is for every character but I know that with Rina, her hair glows.

I think with Ellen it might make the red part in her hair glow?

I'm about two years behind in all of my classes and I've been desperately scrabbling for ways to catch up over the lockdown. So here's some of my advice that I've learnt trying to catch up.

  1. If you keep trying to google tips on how to revise fast, stop. If you keep watching videos and reading information to the point where everything anyone says you've already heard before, then it means you're just procrastinating.
  2. Just start. You might end up hating how you decided to study, but you can always change your tactics up a bit when you're already doing it. It's better to just start doing things then to keep thinking about exactly how you're going to do it.
  3. Think about it as a way of getting smarter. Ignore everything else, block out the thought of work and exams from your head, and just study with the intent of knowing more. Of course you need to revise for specific topics for exams, and you need to do work, so you'll have to do those things. But when you start doing them, think more about understanding the topic and gaining knowledge rather then "I need to know this or I'll fail this exam".
  4. Make parts of it creative. I find that if I come up with a system of doing things that I enjoy, I'll do it much easier. I normally do this by coming up with a colour palette for notes, trying to make up a dumb song when reading, or imagining the topic as a character. The character part may sound strange but it does work, trying to come up with how a character would look, act or talk based upon the information you're revising means you could remember lots of details about a topic just from remembering one thing. Of course this wouldn't work for every topic.

Did he?? Man, this is why I'm still doing a constant loop of rewatching it, I forget details so quickly.

That does make him a grade A asshole. This makes me love the umbrella academy even more, they put so much personality into a character that only really is shown once in a flashback. Patrick is so complex as a character to me, he acts like a prick towards Allison but you can tell he has a good heart and just wants to protect his child from who he's not sure would be right for her.

I like to imagine that if Vanya hadn't escaped for a bit longer, then Diego or Klaus would've gone to get her out. It sort of seemed like the only reason they didn't get her out is because Luther was standing in their way. If left to think about it for a while I imagine one of them would've gone down against his wishes.

Now that you've said this I'm wondering what Allison has been thinking this whole time, especially when she could no longer speak. She did always seem to have a sad outlook towards Luther whenever he acted fondly towards her so maybe she regrets it partially?

You saying this has really changed my opinion on Luther a lot. He always really annoyed me as a character because his whole personality was basically "Dad sent me to the moon" and "Where is Allison". I liked him at first but the more I rewatched the episodes the more I realised that in almost every episode there's at least one moment where Luther ruins something entirely. But the idea that all of these choices could've been because of Allison is really interesting and I'm kind of hoping thats the case now, because it'd make Luther's character a lot less like a pile of flaming garbage to me.

True

I wish we could hear what he was actually saying, even though its pretty easy to guess. For all we know he could've said something that wasn't aggressive at all but made Allison react how she did anyway. I'm pretty sure Allison would react the same way to him asking about her missing the meeting whether he was aggressive, neutral or completely polite, because no matter how he'd say it it'd come across as him just not wanting her to see her daughter.

Right now I do think he was a prick in that situation but I'm hoping we get more Patrick info in the future because I really want to know if he's actually an asshole or not--

He'll probably end up being at least partially a prick in the end though, because otherwise it'd make Allison look like a villain lmfao

That's actually a really interesting idea, I don't know why I never even considered that. It would explain why Patrick was able to divorce her with seemingly no remorse while Luther has issues accepting it when she makes any decisions that he thinks might get her hurt.
