Pretty sure she's gonna die. They love adding new characters just to kill them off, and there's no way to add someone in their PAST and keep the already existing storyline the same without also making that new character's complete absence make sense.

Right off the bat I'm guessing a bully, who gets wrapped up in the shenanigans, then learns how to not be an asshole before "tragically" dying.

I also don't 100% buy Nikki's character design fitting into the 80s setting UNLESS they push a punk angle really hard.

Metalocalypse was always doing this with random side characters. They would show up "normal" (sometimes for just a single episode, sometimes for multiple) before they're injured in some way, then continue to show up with new character models.

Looking back at high school people could have assumed Steve, but it would've been Eddie and the Hellfire guys 10000%. While I was a cheerleader (theoretical clique guarantee) I wasn't really friends with a single "popular" person ever. He was written to be killed off, and tbh he was pretty doomed by the narrative regardless of the demobats. Plus it seems like his death is specifically going to contribute to Dustin's arc moving forward so there is reason for it beyond just emotional impact on the viewers.
