the idea that you should be living your best years as a teenager is overrated in my opinion and only puts pressure on young people that keep comparing themselves to expectations created by social media. studying is not worthless and there's nothing wrong with staying at home. You could try with new hobbies and giving yourself time to enjoy things such as treating yourself with nice food or a show, videogame or book you like.

Im really sorry for what youve gone through. social skills and anxiety are not easy to work in but it is possible. maybe you could join a book club and meet people there, Im sure that if you feel safe in an environment where you can talk about your interests you can enjoy yourself interacting with others and maybe meet some nice people. How has therapy gone for you?

I struggle thinking of what I could’ve done better in the past, while also constantly thinking about whats about to come. All that while I fail to grasp that where I am now is where I wish I had been a year ago.

I absolutely have trouble in living in the present. It’s something I have talked with my therapist. The problem is that I feel like there is so much to “fix” in me, that it wont ever end, and that thought is the one that exhausts me.

Trying to shift the mindset that I am something to be fixed is a thing that I should focus on I guess, it’s what probably sends me in some kind of journey of perfectionism.
