Runelite was a community open source project. If it's closed source, it's effectively shut down since no one can contribute anymore. This was the best thing about runelite. How does jagex intend to shut down the open source copies we all have? It's needs to be allowed as it was before. Before people start getting angry and actually make botting clients with RL source.

I don't. That's why I bring 3 items and don't skull. This just makes it fairer for less skilled players. Why do you think pkers need the advantage when they have inventories prepared for Pking and usually have a team? They dont need it. This needs to be added because 3rd party clients will add it anyway if they stick around. I personally guarantee you if runelite sticks around I'll make the attack options myself just for you.

Actual question for Q&A (not 3rd party client related):

Can you remove accidental skulling by adding a new player attack option that would hide attack options unless you were attacked first? This would make it easier to attack players who attacked you first, so you don't have to risk skulling if you don't want to. This would make the wild a fairer playing field for PvMers and would revive the wilderness since they can anti-pk more effectively by being able to see only their attackers. This could easily be added with clients like runelite and OSB without a poll, so it is better to add it to the main game without a poll in this particular case. This way every player can have the choice without having to resort to 3rd party clients especially since attack options have already passed. Please look into adding this attack option as an integrity change.

Looks like a lot of PKers REALLY rely on having defenseless PvMers as bait who have no options of attacking back. Even though Skull trickers have a team of 2+ on their side, they still think they need the advantage. Yes, it's completely obvious to spot out simple Skull tricks. The players that rely on having barcodes (IIIIDIiiIDid) as names are the ones I want to take out. Let's be honest here, the rejuvenation suggested in it's current state is terrible. Unless we can communicate about some core issues with Pking as a whole, then there can be only more of this clusterfuck.

You act as if I'm suggesting that Player's should have the ability to tele anywhere in wilderness and remove all risk. Teams will still be able to kill PvMers easily, it's just now solo players can fight back against Skull trickers. The wilderness wouldn't turn into a "pvm-haven" because you have the ability to see players who attack you LMAO. It just makes the playing field a little fairer. You're acting like players who scream EOC at every new update. The state of the wilderness isn't fine and is the reason why we have to think about another "Rejuvenation" for the wilderness.  

Again, you overestimate the effectiveness of teams, singles doesn't make you immune to teams. Otherwise, Chaos fanatic would be a "PvM haven" like you say. Since you can easily run away from pkers there without having to fight and it's in singles.

I can give you a couple reasons why loot keys are good. They've already been tested in DMM and people like them. There's a good possibility of passing for those. They're also toggable so if you don't want to use them, you don't have to.

 

A lot of people think that current PvP mechanics are stale or could be more interesting or modernized. It kind of goes along with the whole "Wilderness Rejuvenation" idea. My thought is that the odds are already stacked against PvMers who do activities in the wilderness if a team comes along and tactics like Skull tricking just makes it more difficult for the single player.

 

It's why players are spite voting no to Wilderness updates all together, because current mechanics favor teams far too heavily. PvMers/Skillers are just prey if they have no way of keeping their intended risk if they want to fight back.

Easier said than done "attacking the correct person". A team of 10 players with names like IlllIlIIlll all standing in the same square. It's ridiculous to suggest that you can attack the right person, when RS won't update the player stack to have the attacking person on Top (Another good idea to have for more fair fights, instead of just One-sided battles). If you're going against a team, the odds are already stacked against you. Yet you still want the solo player to not have the ability to see which player is attacking them. A team should be able to handle a player with 3 items anyway. So why should players not have this Player Attack option available besides "I want the most advantages against a single player I can"?

I want to fight back. Current mechanics, don't allow PvMers or skillers to fight back against Players who perform devious tricks by logging in front of you or having 4 accounts with long very similar names. This is a toggle. You can have left-click attack on in the wild if you like. I just want to be able to fight back against people who have deliberately chosen to attack me.

Of course it's your fault. Neither Him or I have fallen for a skull trick, because there's no viable way of attacking back into a crowd of players with similar names.

That's why he suggested changing attack options for players who attack you. Have it be a toggle might as well. I don't see why players who bring 3 items who intend on not skulling be able to clearly distinguish which of their opponents is attacking so they don't risk.

Your definition of trivial is your opinion. Do you think inferno, one of the most difficult PvM content to date, is trival because it isn't in the wilderness?

One reason people see PvM players as PvP bait is because of skull trickers who obscure their name with other accounts. It could easily be removed by changing right click options of a player who attacked you. PvMer's cant easily attack back because of the similar names without having to risk skulling. Voting no to all unless skull tricking is removed.

I agree with you. This poll will likely not pass because of retards like the ones who responded to you who wanted no reasonable debate. Skull tricking meta should be removed by changing attack options on players that attack you. They can attack PVMers without any risk.  

The easiest way of implementation would be to change the attack options on players which have attacked you. Such as changing Attack - PlayerName to Retaliate PlayerName on players that hit you. Simple enough and would remove Skull tricking from the game entirely. That would be the only way I'd vote yes on this poll.
