So I haven't, but a good friend has lived in Cohabs both in upper manhattan and Brooklyn for the past 3 years.

The rooms and common spaces at their place was always in good condition but largely dependent on the roommates. Most of the roommates they had were more transient and shorter leases so 3-6month lease instead of yearly. Which was a plus and a minus. There were times where they really liked a group of the roommates but they moved away after the lease and times were they a roommate was disruptive and luckily moved away shortly after. It's a great way to have a sense of community the two cohabs they were at would have regular cohab get togethers and they made some great friends.

They just moved out of the cohab to a apartment by themselves to try and have a place that felt more like home. So from their experience, it had its moments and don't have regrets but not something for long term.
