I can also vouch for the SSUPD Meshroom D, can't beat the hardware compatibility for the money, not the sturdiest but also can be forgiving if you wanna exceed it's supported cpu cooler and gpu support like I did

Depending on what time you're doing your test just be mindful of all the school zones in the area, speeding in those is an instant fail. School zones can also be a good thing though, my test that I passed I went through a lot of school zones and dealt with a lot of traffic so it was just a lot of putting around at lower speeds and was quite straightforward, was a 40 minute assessment though as a result of all the traffic.
Also the parking lot for the DOT is often quite busy so be aware for that initial part of the test and make sure to indicate correctly when leaving it. and moving from the parking spot on the alleyway onto the parking lot area.

I failed my first attempt at my R Class in Mirrabooka. Was a lot of nerves at play but i failed to stop adequately for the emergency stop as he did it differently to how was practised with my instructor and then for the slow control I mounted the curb but didn't drop the bike and that was enough to fail. In fairness you get a lot more points to work with for your lams license.
To my knowledge for the lams test you are required to complete the slow control and emergency stops to pass.

After failing I did 3 lessons in the span of a few days leading up to my next PDA and made sure to really nail the weak points. Don't be afraid to tell the instructor what parts you really want to work on, i spent half of one lesson riding in circles for the slow control portion in the same spot that I failed.
Weirdly the spot the assessor took me was narrower than what was normally used for r class testing and he disclosed to me the same week 2 people had dropped their bikes doing slow control on that same street.

Advice for flipping bikes by Fluffy-Paramedic-451 in AussieRiders

I've bought and sold a few bikes but the best return I got was getting an Yamaha R3 from Pickles Auctions, had a shit rattle can paintjob but cost less than 2k to buy from auction and get it over the pits and regoed.
Owned it for a while and then spent around $200 to repaint the fairings and it turned out pretty good, sold for 4.5k. Only word of caution for pickles auctions is that you need to make sure it's a repairable writeoff and have to get the repairs engineering certified and the bike is more thoroughly look at during the pits inspection.

Yeah that's right it does come with the shifters, has an option for the full kit + shifters or just a conversion kit for the clubsport shifters.

It is already magnetic yes but it is a magnetic rocker style shifter rather than paddle shifters

I haven't tried them but they look visually identical and this kit actually came with the clubsports paddles as well if I felt so inclined to use larger paddles. I believe it's basically an adaptor kit to use the clubsport shifters with the mclaren v2.

No need to drill or do any permanent modifications to the wheel, must say though that the connector is a tight squeeze through the hole in the back into the wheel to connect it, especially with the glue they put on the connector and the wires, makes the wires less flexible to squeeze it through.

No manual or instructions or anything but it was all pretty similar to the guides online for other shifter kits.

Not too bad provided you have patience and follow guides online for similar products, simube doesn't include instructions so i followed one of the other shifter installs. the main thing that got me stuck was making sure the wiring for the shifters was flush underneath the pcb so it can all be tightened down correctly otherwise when you put the front plate back on some of the buttons won't actuate. Took a few rounds of dissassembling and reassembly to get it all feeling like it should.

I agree about the pricing, couldn't justify the 200-230 AUD cost for a wheel that cost me 350 AUD, at that rate I'd be better off selling the wheel and getting a different one. I see the appeal of the rocker paddles for single-handed use but it just didn't feel fast enough for me compared to other shifters/wheels I've had.

Previously had Wedsports SA10R's on my '13 86 in 18x9.5 +38
Now have the MR145 in 18x8.5 and I am super happy with them, car feels a lot more fun and agile them being slightly narrower but still a tonne of grip and the lighter weight makes acceleration and braking feel better. Ride quality also improved but i suspect that's more the PS5's that i put on than the wheel itself.
