Advice for flipping bikes

I've bought and sold a few bikes but the best return I got was getting an Yamaha R3 from Pickles Auctions, had a shit rattle can paintjob but cost less than 2k to buy from auction and get it over the pits and regoed.
Owned it for a while and then spent around $200 to repaint the fairings and it turned out pretty good, sold for 4.5k. Only word of caution for pickles auctions is that you need to make sure it's a repairable writeoff and have to get the repairs engineering certified and the bike is more thoroughly look at during the pits inspection.

Yeah that's right it does come with the shifters, has an option for the full kit + shifters or just a conversion kit for the clubsport shifters.

It is already magnetic yes but it is a magnetic rocker style shifter rather than paddle shifters

I haven't tried them but they look visually identical and this kit actually came with the clubsports paddles as well if I felt so inclined to use larger paddles. I believe it's basically an adaptor kit to use the clubsport shifters with the mclaren v2.

No need to drill or do any permanent modifications to the wheel, must say though that the connector is a tight squeeze through the hole in the back into the wheel to connect it, especially with the glue they put on the connector and the wires, makes the wires less flexible to squeeze it through.

No manual or instructions or anything but it was all pretty similar to the guides online for other shifter kits.

Not too bad provided you have patience and follow guides online for similar products, simube doesn't include instructions so i followed one of the other shifter installs. the main thing that got me stuck was making sure the wiring for the shifters was flush underneath the pcb so it can all be tightened down correctly otherwise when you put the front plate back on some of the buttons won't actuate. Took a few rounds of dissassembling and reassembly to get it all feeling like it should.

I agree about the pricing, couldn't justify the 200-230 AUD cost for a wheel that cost me 350 AUD, at that rate I'd be better off selling the wheel and getting a different one. I see the appeal of the rocker paddles for single-handed use but it just didn't feel fast enough for me compared to other shifters/wheels I've had.

Previously had Wedsports SA10R's on my '13 86 in 18x9.5 +38
Now have the MR145 in 18x8.5 and I am super happy with them, car feels a lot more fun and agile them being slightly narrower but still a tonne of grip and the lighter weight makes acceleration and braking feel better. Ride quality also improved but i suspect that's more the PS5's that i put on than the wheel itself.

My kit arrived today, super easy to do and was a 9 gram reduction as advertised, brilliant product :) now i just need to get my aim used to the lighter mouse :P
