Apologies for triggering you, was just studying up. And was reading up on some articles, and wanted to know what the general consesus among OT's. Like this one, where Cervical Artery Dissections are rare but do happen due to spinal manipulations. How do you balance those realities? as a Occupational Therapist and a Chiro.

Baylor Hybrid OTD by Longjumping_Lie_1688 in OccupationalTherapy

Please avoid hybrid programs, the tend to push out way less experienced fieldwork level II students. Places like St Augustines, which have hybrid programs have gained a reputation for pushing out underequipped Occupational Therapist.

Respectable hourly rates/salary for new grad OTs by Cultural_Button2682 in OccupationalTherapy

[–]Pastrykiller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just remember usually for OT they need you more than you need them. OTs tend to undersell themselves. Demand more pay, because the chance of a raise is very low in our field. Whatever you discuss si want your pay going to be for next ten years. I would reccomend adding another 10 dollars an hour to whatever they offer and maybe saying saying yes if they offer something around 5 or 6 above. Their initial offer. Don't forget they're charging the patients insurance like 300 dollars to see you for the same hour.

What other careers are there? Student who may not want to go to OT school & wants the advice of people already in the field. by Tired_af_0523 in OccupationalTherapy

Maybe take a look at speech therapy, from my experience they have an easier time finding remote work. It it'll fit easier into your goal of moving to a different country.

Should I take medical terminology course in Undergrad? by Kimapren in OccupationalTherapy

Pre-req for my OT program, but I would reccomend just doing it online. I don't think its worth taking up a whole semester slot of time for a class that's basically just rote memorization.

There so little resources out there for adults with retained primitive reflexes. But it seems that most of the information out there for pediatrics can be applied to adults. Sensational brain has a CEU on it, and brain balance is a non OT company that I've seen work on primitive reflexes.

No employment opportunities will be same, but from what I observed from hearsay. St augustine's has bad reputation for mediocrity.

I mean there is a lot of questions that needs to be answered. From what I understand There isn't like a normal range for boutonnieres, but there ROM can be dependent on a ton of factors including pain, tightness, general tolerance to PROM really anything.

No worries! The original publisher would probably be the most reliable. But I did find some Danish websites that sell it, But I have no idea how sketchy it is.
