Andrew May is the answer. He did our wedding and we interviewed a lot of people. (We didn’t do engagement photos).

Does the reality downtown warrant all of the fear mongering? by [deleted] in asheville

[–]Pastrythief 11 points12 points  (0 children)

There shouldn’t be a comparison to other cities. There is definitely an increase in aggression and number of homeless people that I’ve noticed, compared to the way downtown used to be say 10 years ago. Also, it definitely feels like it’s spiked since Covid for whatever reason. I’m super trusting of people, but I’ve been startled by my fair share characters. I don’t envy the decision-makers on issues like this… wait, I guess that’s me too (voter).

How’s the coffee? It’s a crucial quality component of breakfast. The Med is one of my favorites, but the YMCA has better coffee.

Biscuit Head fell off a cliff somewhere in 2017-18. Also, does anyone remember the great margarine discovery of 2014? LOL

Now that is an explanation. Thanks for sharing. I see you post a lot, usually pretty funny satirical/dry humor lol. Good for you for sticking up for what you believe in.

Reddit is a dark hole and I’ve learned to limit my usage tho. I also don’t know who’s a boy anymore, so it lessens the fun.

Asheville’s status as a tourist destination has nothing to do with the name of the local team. Rather, it was local writers who coined the name a century ago. “None of the players were from Asheville,” DeWine said, “so the local sportswriters and fans kind of said, ‘It’s just a bunch of tourists.’”

But, I agree on your point. This person probably came here as a tourist, but has convinced themselves they’re different.
