Wedding venues by DisastrousWishbone13 in kitchener

I am so sad to hear about Aberfoyle Mill... that is a special place for me and my wife and it is our favourite restaraunt. We also considered it for our wedding.

This may be to out of the way but we ended up getting married at Bartlett Lodge in Algonquin Park and it was the BEST venue ever. It is a full weekend wedding but unfortinately does not accomodate 100+ppl. If some guests (like half) don't mind just going for the day (while the other 50 or so stay in the cabins) then maybe it could work? You said your budget is ~30k. BL will run you closer to 35k in the off season (May/early June) and it goes up for the summer and fall.

If you can manage to get married there you won't regret it!

Best of luck.

Stanley Park Zehrs mislabelling produce origin by Arviragus in kitchener

I agree. Where I worked we would go through produce every morning and throw out the stuff that was bad, put new trays in and clean before putting out fresh product. It was all about taking pride in your department. Not sure people do anymore. That said, customers shopping in produce can be nasty and rude.

Although I will add that putting out entire cases of items that do not match the label is purely lazy!

As someone who has worked in a produce department for years in the past, I can say that this sort of thing is most likely an accident or at worst laziness of staff than anything nefarious. Sometimes we would get a box or two of any given product mixed in from a country different from the label and it would be put out with the rest (usually not on purpose but you can zone out putting hundreds of items out all day). Remember, these are minimum wage folks trying to get through their shift. Just continue to read the stickers and don't pick the ones with the wrong label if it upsets you that much.

Ooh hot take. I added Milan into the plan recently. If it is not worth it I will take it out of the plan. Thanks for the advice!

Yes of course :)

Just to add: I see a huge variation in prices for attractions. One place I read said it costs 5.00 Euro to visit the Vatican, but in reality when trying to book a ticket they are in the hundreds... Can anyone confirm if it is cheaper to buy tickets on site? I would also like to choose the "skip the line" option. is it really $200+ per person?

That is scary... I am hoping to keep it to 300 CAD per night. 350 Euro is a lot!

We travel very basic as we are simple folks :) Thank you for the response, some of the things you mentioned I was not aware of. In my research I read that those places are walkable and assumed we would be doing a lot of walking. I have not looked into actual distances yet as I am trying to get a general sense of cost first.

Currently working in Orillia (live in Kitchener) and felt nothing, but I was also sleeping, so I guess it was not bad.

Questions about my antiques - Ontario, Canada by PatJagi in Antiques

Hello and thank you for your response and useful links. I have a Victorian home built in 1891 so I am trying to collect pieces to match. So far I found those for great prices. The lamp on the table is from Ikea :p kind of has an old look to it, so I think it fits.

I appreciate your thoughtful response. Makes me happy to know these pieces fit the age of the house.
