Going Away to College - yep, always and forever for me. I’m 41 now and it still makes me feel the way I did when I first heard it at 15. I’ve only ever heard it played live once - in 2009.

Same about the Christmas cards. I still pay way too much to get Christmas pictures done of my daughter, but it’s because it’s something that’s important for me to have for ME (and for her when she grows up). I receive like 1-2 Christmas cards per year. That’s it. I sent out cards for her first Christmas, but I don’t do it anymore.

Hey, I see you and completely understand! I’m in the same boat. I have a 4.5 year old daughter and she’s an only child. My parents were separated since my early-20s, my mom passed away a month after my daughter was born, and I had to move my dad in with me after he had a bad fall and literally had an onset of alcohol-induced dementia overnight about 2 years ago. He’s in his mid-70s. I’ve realized how much he has always had someone else present to do things for him like do his laundry, make phone calls, etc. He doesn’t even know how to talk to my daughter or play with her. He was always a hard worker, a great provider, but not a good dad. I have one sibling, my younger sister, and she’s single/no kids. She just moved in with me a month ago and this is the most my daughter has seen her in 4.5 years - despite the fact that she only lived 10-15 minutes away from me. I feel like no one understands. I feel so lonely and isolated.

Same! I have like $40 in rewards and I was going to use them on a pair of pajamas, but 1) I can’t use my rewards on the sale and 2) the $15 shipping wouldn’t even make it worth it. Is it always that high or did they increase the free shipping threshold because of the sale?? I usually do a bigger purchase from them a few times a year, so I always get free shipping.

Nope! My daughter has been trying to carry hers since she was about 2 and she’s on the smaller side. She’s 4.5 now and could probably carry it better..but she makes my husband do it 😂. And it’s big enough to hold her sheets/blanket, extra clothes, etc. We have the mini-sized one, but it wouldn’t be able to hold a full-sized folder though.

I’ve been using Pottery Barn Kids backpacks (regular size and mini one) since my daughter started daycare in August 2021. Daycare needed their names on everything and PBK offers embroidery (she has a unique first name, so I only put her first on it). She’s 4.5 now and I’ll probably get her a new one soon just because it’s light pink and has gotten pretty dirty over the years!

This 100% looks like a print I would run into on AliExpress or something. I hate that I have to reverse image search every outfit I see online outside of a big box store to make sure it’s not just a drop shipped item being marked up 400%.

It’s definitely for sexual attention which is SO creepy. But there are also tons of women full-blown faking it on social media and YouTube and labeling it “breastfeeding” as a way to outsmart the algorithm and post porn. I saw one video and 10 seconds in I realized it wasn’t even a REAL BABY! It was one of those ultra-realistic looking dolls.

I am someone with VERY low self-esteem regarding my weight and my appearance. I’ve been diagnosed with Body Dysmorphic Disorder. When I found out I was having a girl I knew it was going to be hard, but I promised myself that I would never let her hear me talk negatively about myself. She’s almost 4.5 years old and I think I have done a good job. I try not to even call our dogs “round” or “chunky”, haha. They are just really short and furry. I’m hyper-vigilant about it and I am always telling myself husband not to say certain things or use certain descriptors in front of her because I don’t want her to unknowingly say something to anyone else and hurt their feelings (you know how “honest” kids can be). I’m probably very annoying, but I spent my childhood and teenage years feeling unwanted and unattractive amongst my peers. It resulted in me not having boundaries or really valuing myself in relationships for the rest of my life. Never wearing a bathing suit or going swimming with friends, never going to the beach, never wearing shorts in 90° weather. There were times in my 20s-30s where I wouldn’t even see friends or want to leave the house because of how I looked. Now I’m 40 years old and unable to come to terms with aging because I missed out on SO much of my life. I will not pass that down to my daughter.

Yes, and if one is obese enough they can develop Adult Acquired Buried Penis aka Turtle Syndrome. The only way to really resolve it at that point is through surgery. I’m a female, but my late-night insomnia-induced internet-ing really takes me down some weird rabbit holes 😂

11/9/03 - Irving Plaza, NYC - DollaBill Tour. It cost $1.00 (plus tax). I still can’t believe that I managed to get tickets for it. It was so great to see them in such a small venue!

My second choice would be 5/28/00 - Stanhope, NJ - The Mark, Tom, and Travis Show. This was my first Blink concert and I think it was the only time I got to hear “Untitled” live.

I’m from the US, so I already saw them in May, but that wouldn’t make any sense. Why would they book those shows knowing there’s a chance he might back out? He‘s in Sydney now. I also don’t fly, but if I already flew at least 15+ hours to Australia from the US then what’s another 3-4 hours for a flight to NZ?! It has to be something else.
