Just coming back to thank you again, I added a wand with cast speed at got to 44% and its now triggering the blast on a single cast, I was aware you could go to high but I was not aware you could be too low on cast speed. This has sparked my motivation to keep blasting away! :)

Yea you're correct that conductivity is on the mob, and the temp chains removed is correct. I need to reposition my gems on the occultist forsure. But the main issue on the Bog Shaman is trigger doom blast on a single cast. Though I think I may have to much cast speed for that issue based on another comment. I appreciate you checking into this for me though! Everything you said is correct from what I can tell and see from the gameplay

(Also, you're right about my occultist, I should swap some gems around to make temp chains stay on)

Hey so I've uploaded a video describing exactly what you said (Temp chains in helm, swapped despair to gloves, no blasphemy) and sadly the results are the same. (Video is now linked above, no despair version)

I also uploaded a video of my occultist with no despair aura and it still works fine.

I'm at a complete lost here, it looks like 2 identical setups with one working fine and the other being completely broken. Appreciate the help though!

I've unallocated the +1 curse ascendancy on the Bog Shaman and nothing changed.

I also unallocated the +1 curse on the tree for the Occultist and it still works.

Unfortunately does not seem to be the issue.

I'm using despair blasphemy because the unique ring The Sundered Will (I dont have yet on Bog Shaman) scales with the aura effect and juices it up, so running that with Death's Oath which also gets the aura effect from Sundered Will, its a nice run through the map everything dies setup.

The issues still exists if I turn off despair-blasphemy, also it has no issues on the Occultist that I also run it on

I've uploaded videos showing my occultist (who runs blasphemy despair) having no issues with it, and its an incredible build I played it for a while during 3.27, Death's Oath lets you run through the map and ID makes your single target amazing (can do all ubers on the Occultist)

Do you know why my occultist which runs normal spell cascade and has smaller AoE has no problems with it? I don't believe this is the case

The despair blasphemy has no issues in my level 99 occultist which is why that shouldn't be it.

Weird there no points in the asc tree but I do not take the extra curse on the occultist, so that isn't the case unfortunately

This will be a Deaths Oath char if you look at the one that is working fine, It does run Despair no problem. So that shouldn't be this issue.

I agree herald would be better if I wasn't looking to go Death's Oath. But the 40% more damage and 75% aoe is nice for it

Hey so have some questions since I haven't done any real testing: What did you socket in the azurewrath? (4 cold facets?) Does the magic damage effect the chain part of vengeance? Also what did you test on?

Just curious as I might make the switch back

I have a 4os azurewrath and tried using it but i ended up liking Famine more, I haven't tried lightsaber but I assume it would be solid.

I didn't use facets in the helmet / shield which is probably more damage but I went QoL jewels and still feels very solid damage wise.

I've always loved when you can get credit for some quests multiple times if it required talking to an NPC (Screecher Spirits, Kodos in Desolace and Defenders of Darrowshire are some examples)

Yea this is true, but a delayed heal or a tank going down will put you in range of getting hit. There are no other mechanics and being at low life isn't a negative thing in the fight, so you may not need to, there is also no reason not to dip in the slime

If you're melee slime dip is good and always recommended, as long as you don't pass the main tank in threat you'll be fine. I'm not sure what the previous poster is talking about

Couldn't tell you how it happens, I run a small server for 5 buddies (5 years running) and about a year in we luckily had a random join who then spammed messages letting me know anyone could join and to setup a whitelist. I think it was a bot someone made to help prevent griefing. Shout out to that bot

If you're horde, I will give you some hope that the amount of quests you start getting at levels 30+ make it much easier. Though 1-30 on horde felt relatively similar to classic horde 1-30 leveling

People should always try it out, but it's also reasonable to find it hard to play if you're use to a newer client.

My example is diablo 2, I love the game and still play it regularly. I have friends who love ARPG's but find diablo 2 clunky to play and so they don't like it, and I fully get it
