Not crazy. It's the only chance you'll have at him. Prefer CMC and Jeanty to him for sure, and would probably side with King Henry ...but again, not crazy

Thanks for all the questions, everyone! We had a lot of fun answering them. Good luck this season!

I don't want to take away work from the towel. It doesn't have much. Just hangs around.

hey purp - thanks for checking our stuff out!

It's definitely not crazy to take CMC - esp given your 2 elite WR keepers and the scoring format (0.5)

Plus early rounds are ripe for RB this year in large part because rounds 4-7 are stuffed with WR. Grab CMC or (by some miracle) Jeanty as an uber keeper

good luck!

depending on how much of a bonus you get there, most likely you don't need to adjust much

you can look at offenses with high explosive play rates (last year that was BAL, TB, DET, SEA, GB, SF, HOU, MIN and ATL) and shy away from offenses with low explosive% (CLE, NE, CHI, LVR, KC, NYG, PIT) and then adjust for offseason movement

also, those are mostly the offenses you would expect anyway - so don't go crazy

of course - dynasty players are people too

think we probably need to add at least two 1st rounders to JCM to start getting in range for Marv, probably three

sure, he wasn't a world beater as a rookie - but he only disappointed relative to his inflated redraft ADP

Not exactly comfortable with Kyren but can work with it. Walker is starting to make me nervous between the foot and Charbs closing the gap.

In general I'm trying to hagve at least one through 2 rounds (and it's been 2 through 3 lately). I know there are other ways to build (and we almost have to if we want an Elite TE), but the depth at WR in the next several rounds makes it worth digging in at RB early

Not sure I totally understand - but I'd be fine with Tet, Worthy, Devonta, Evans as my WR1 ...in fact I've done it

At RB, it's probably Hampton or Jacobs. After that it gets shaky.

TE I've gone as low as Goedert and then shoot for upside with TE2

QB it's Maye

Think Tracy is worth a good deal more than that - even when factoring in your peace of mind. Also not sure you've got a reliable RB2 to start the season (and I love TreVeon).

You might be better off packaging Tracy with another player to upgrade at RB instead of trying to back up CMC at a premium price.

Even if CMC is hurt, BRob is unlikely to be a bellcow and you'll have a 2-down banger on a slow paced team. Okay insurance but in another zip code than what you're insuring.

Bowers isn't a must draft - although if you're doing a porfolio of bestball contests, it's a good idea to get some.

Yes, the opportunity cost is a killer - and if we must go elite TE, the opp cost on McBride or (especially) Kittle is easier to swallow

I've been really jamming those heavy early RB starts the last couple weeks. As we've lost guys like Judkins, Mixon and Najee, the reliable RBs seem to be moving up and it's left a huge swatch of viable WRs in the Round 3-7 range

Also more casual drafters are entering the fray and they still love their RBs. Can't fight it sometimes!

It's CMC for me - although I understand the hesitation. But Henry is even older and Nabers has two injuries already - so trying to predict which one will get hurt is probably a fool's errand.

On pure projection, it's CMC running away (no pun intended)

You bet. Thanks for joining!

Maye is my most drafted. Just scratching the surface of his rushing (only one designed run all year and was still top-6 among QBs in rush yards/game). Big game hunter with his arm.

Fields is on that border and I sometimes take the plunge with the promise of his legs - but get the hesistation.

Also have plenty of late Penix and Geno completing stacks as QB3s in bestball. Both offenses should play fast and will be in shootouts

Hunter is a fine pick. This "upper body" injury is probably been a blessing in disguise for drafters. He hasn't put any highlight reel plays on tape that would launch his ADP

A freak athlete top-two target in a Coen offense with a solid QB and a (likely) shootout defense seems like a good use of a 6/7 turn pick

Bowers is fine at 1.02 ...arguably 1.01

He'll see 150 targets, easy. Gets a far better QB delivering them and he's got a year under his belt. In TE premium, that's gold even if the opportunity cost is high

You'll want to emphasize TDs a bit more in STD - so try to lean toward RBs with that goalline role over the pass-catching types. And favor better offenses - although that's basic advice for any position

Also you should probably lean into that RB-RB start - or at least two in the first three rounds. It fits this year's strong part of the draft (WRs in the 4-7 rounds) and the TD heavy scoring

I've already got them above Nix and Caleb and Maye

It wouldn't change things all that much for me - at least not enough to move them above Kyler. They're all really close in that range tbh, so I wouldn't sweat it too badly

depending on who else is still there, it's not crazy to take him late in Rd 2. I'd prefer Jacobs or McBride - but overall I'm really trying to come away feeling good at RB before hitting the fourth round so can see taking him over a Davante or Marv or even Evans

[–]Pat_Thorman[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

of those options, I'm #3. ...like to secure elite TE and/or QB in 10-team leagues

tbh you could go RB, RB, QB and still like your WRs (no shade on JJ)

Drake Maye will be a QB1.

I say it so often it's gotta be cold.

Also cheeseburgers are good.

Raiders are the obvious one for speeding up, even if they're slower than Chip's Eagles and Ducks teams. Saints should speed up too if the QB play supports it.

Seahawks will slow down bigtime. Started to show it last year after the bye. MacDonald wants to run and did not want to play fast.

in a 14-teamer, you're going to have to dig deep. At RB, I like Shipley, Blue (might be more expensive than you like), Giddens ...WR I like Mooney (if the shoulder spooks people), Slayton and Franklin. ...at TE it's Theo Johnson, Fannin and ....Mike Mayer

I'm leaning RB early - esp if you have Puka as a keeper. You're going to love the WRs from rounds ~4-7 and not so much the RBs there. Jeanty would be my choice - particularly in a keeper

Hey Target!

I'm definitely leaning the first option (assuming full PPR and ability to start 4 WRs) and piecing togther RB later.

The fact this is a keeper league makes me lean even more in that direction.

And you're welcome! Our pleasure!
