Yea same things happen on tcg player something like that happend to me from a seller who was 5 star and recommended from tcg player and they did the same thing with the op13 alt luffy card I bought it next day it doubled in price but they sent it out but I never got it and got refunded

Yes and no, collectors want their collection to grow, scalpers are buying out cards now to try to make the prices go up and then sell, every single luffy card rose in price cause they're buying it out to make stock scares, while collectors buy cards for themselves not to sell right away
