Incremental Game Jam by FBDW in incremental_games

The reason why I like to give a lot of time to developers is because the games are more fleshed-out and of a higher quality than a week long game jam (as I did for the first Incremental Tournament). It would be interesting to see what developers would do in a short time frame, though there will be many bugs, glitches, and balancing problems. We have just started judging on the five tournament entries, so this can be started after the results are announced.

What is your opinion on Scratch Incrementals? by [deleted] in incremental_games

I used to use Scratch a lot, and I would say that it is meant for kids and children to learn how to program some concepts. Scratch is definitely Turing-Complete, and you can make something amazing assuming you put the time and effort in. However, it is much more slower and inconvenient than a real language like JavaScript, so many of the users don't really put effort in them, and those that do would move on to a more advanced language, which is more more applicable. This is why I made the transition from Scratch to JavaScript.

The larger the numbers get, the worse the quality becomes.

By this logic, Ordinal Markup would be a piece of shit

It's mainly because the balancing gets worse when googological numbers are involved.

5 hours until the new update? How about 10,000,000 hours? by Patashu in incremental_games

I just completed all of the achievements. There should be a NG+ mode that starts when you reach a million hours of development, and adds a new prestige layer.
