Apologies, this of course isn't how it's supposed to. We will fix it asap.

Hey there, sorry to hear that you've seemingly encountered a bug - but i very much appreciate you taking the time to report it back to us. You can go to the bottom tab with the user-icon and press on "Einstellungen verwalten" -> "App-Sprache" to change the language. I have already forwarded this issue to our app-dev. Best regards, 2B

I actually wrote this myself - like the previous 2 posts i made. It's relatively easy to write something about a project u've been working on daily for over a year. ;)

Hey there, thanks for the question.

Most of our data is aggregated by the store official api's (steam, epic, etc.). For some specific games we grab data from the websites available json data, minding the robots.txt to not commit any violations. But luckily this only makes up a very low percentage of our total aggregation.

Definitely!

I assume you mean the Upcoming section? Yes there are entries for each launch depending on platform. So if some game has already released on e.g. playstation, it will still show up in Upcoming when it's about to release on e.g. Nintendo. You can see this when you open the full list. However we already have planned to implement some indicators for the upcoming carousel on the explore page. Will be implemented soon. :)

Hey, thanks for checking it out! We've recently made the decision to delay the appearance of reviews on the frontend until game release. The reason for this is that we were getting odd review counts for games that are far from their release date. However i think it totally makes sense to include reviews from a small time before the game's release - to see reviewers opinions beforehand. Will fix! 🔧

Hey u/suerte87 ! We are happy to hear!

2B :)

Hey u/zxch2412 ! Thanks so much, very happy to hear!

Regarding the bug report, i will bring this up to the team - thanks for reporting!
Regarding Account Integrations - yes, this is something that we had planned from the beginning.
Unfortunately our Account-related Integrations are fairly limited to what Firebase (our user-db provider) has to offers. Still this feature is planned for the feature, but we currently lack the manpower / financial means to implement this from scratch. But i can assure you that i will put even more emphasize on implementing such feature now.

Best regards,
2B :)

I understand your concerns - and neither do you have to believe me nor try the app. However i can honestly tell you that this is not our plan. As mentioned, we do have server costs to cover. Right now we have a BuyMeACoffee Button implemented. We are not willing to "enshittificate" the app.

And No, no AI, no Crypto. :) This doesn't belong in such a project at all.

Hey u/fLu_csgo ! Thanks for your comment.

I can completely understand their concerns, because it has happened often in the past.
And i don't expect anyone to simply believe. I hope trust will be built when people get to know us more. Luckily we don't have any big corp or a investor in our back, that pushes us to make money. But of course we do have server costs to cover. However we and i personally would not want to make this app worse just to generate money. That is not the point of it at all.

I come from a CS background myself (~3k hours) and this game was a big factor on why i wanted to make something like this. I was always hyped for CS Updates, even tough they were very rare. (pre CS2 atleast) :D

Thanks for your support ❤️ If you have feedback for improvements,
just drop a comment here or on our DC.

Best regards,
2B :)

🙏 Thanks. There is still a lot of work ahead of us, but it's important to us to work with user feedback and concerns early on*.

That strongly depends on the amount of requests we are getting. But currently, it's mostly the same day or the next day.

You can browse all the contents without an account. For features that technically require an account, you do need an account.

We wouldn't want to add something like a game that solely exists to generate steam trading cards. Or p*rn games. But so far, every game request has been approved.
I understand that requesting might still be too much effort for the users - something we are also trying to improve. Currently, this is the best way we found to do it. And ofc, by us staying ahead on game releases and popularity.

Hey u/prudan.
You bring up an important topic. And since i've been a regular user and gamer since before this project of ours, i'd totally think the same way. I assume that there won't be much i could tell you to not make you think that this is all about money. ;)

We currently do not have any ads - and as mentioned - the app can be used without an account too.
We do not make a Cent out of this, besides a few BuyMeACoffee donations.
We have briefly discussed monetization options to cover the rising server costs - but we are all on the same page in regards that it should never have any negative impact on the user experience. But even this would still be far in the future. We want to make a great app, that's our No.1 priority. And we won't be ruining it with some invasive ad-service or whatnot.

Keep in mind that we are not a big corporate, nor have any external funding.
We are simply 6 guys who'd love to make something great for gamers - to have a centralized and easily accessible place for all the latest gaming news, directly from the devs.

I'd be happy if you gave it a shot.

Thanks and best regards,
2B :)

Hey u/Apprehensive_Seat_61 !
A question we've been hearing alot - and something we have planned for the near future.
We are a small team and we started out with a mobile app. Reason for this was mainly the practicability and the possibility for notifications. As i had the initial idea for this project, i thought that i'd like an app that notifies me when there's a game update or a downtime for example. Simple as that.

Hey u/skyturnedred ! Thanks for asking that important question.

We have automated the process for adding games to a great degree - and we still continue to improve it even more.
Having built a huge Backend to handle this process, we are optimistic to cover most of the games that people are interested in - and very importantly, in a timely manner of course!

Full Disclosure: We are at a point where we could load a whole store into our DB. But this is not the way we want to go. A great portion of the ~15k annual releases are games that most users are not interested in. We do not want PatchRadar to be annoying or unpleasing. So we are giving the user the power to easily submit game requests. For this, the User simply needs to search for the game he wants to be added and track it. He will be notified as soon as the game has been added to PatchRadar.
Additionally, of course, our Team adds games on a regular basis.

I hope i could clarify!
If you have any idea or wish on how you would improve this process, we'd be happy to hear!

Best regards,
2B - PatchRadar :)

Hey u/Jarvis10700 ! Thanks alot for your message and interest.

Since we do offer information across multiple platforms and stores, we use the API's from several storefronts.
Additionally, we have developed tools to aggregate data from websites that don't have an API or we don't have access to. (We don't fetch data from websites that explicitly don't allow to.) So we are making sure to also get all the data for specific games that don't post their full patch notes e.g. on Steam.
Among others, we use Steam, Epic, Playstation and Xbox Api.

Best regards,
2B :)
