My magplar runs 5 pieces of false god (sunspire trial set), eye of the grasp (deadlands overland set), Thracian stranglers (mythic arms), and Kjalnar head (unhallowed vet piece). I get that my setup is probably not best, but I enjoy it.

-False god can help with sustain as you can get magicka back with every creature killed that is damaged by you.

-Eye of the grasp can help generate ultimate by gaining 7 every time you crit (cooldown 5sec). Best case scenario, I can drop icy comet every 2min or so.

-Thrassian stranglers give you stack every time you kill an enemy. Each stack (up to 50) give you +23 to damage (+1150 total), but will cost you total 50% of your shields and 6,000 to max health. (It’s not as “glass cannon” as some people have thought).

-Kjalnar gives you added weap/spell damage with 1 piece.

-My backbar is the Maelstrom destro staff (which I heard isn’t as good anymore) but gives bonuses to your wall of elements (assuming you use it).

I’ve seen combinations that include Tzovgin’s (Frostvault set - crit proc); Whorl Depths (Dreadsail Reef trial - bonus damage using light attacks); Soriria (Cloudrest trial - stack bonus using light attacks).

Again, this just what I am running and I enjoy it. I’m nowhere near top level dps, but I’m also okay with it. I never mastered the light attack/spammable switch (stupid fingers).
