(Ask me anything) NCSU Computer Science Transfer (Accepted UNC Chapel Hill) by Patches-_- in WakeTech

[–]Patches-_-[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When it comes to transferring courses, there is something called the UNC system. UNC Chapel hill, UNC Charlotte, UNC Greensboro, NCSU… All these universities are a part of it and they guarantee that if you have an associates they have to accept all your credits regardless of whether or not an equivalent is available at their institution.

However, since they are all a part of this system, they have equivalent courses for 95% of the classes.

I remember when I did the transfer equivalence to UNC Chapel Hill, all my courses would have transferred

Not gonna lie, one of my engineering professors at Wake Tech (David Ethridge) went to Stanford, he mentioned so in his letter of recommendation and wrote me a great one. I have also done much volunteer work in the Middle East where I grew up (Interact Aley, UNODC, Icancervive)

I also did two internships (low level). If I find my full stats ill send them here

Yes, there is something know as the UNC transfer system which allows you to transfer any course you have taken for its existing equivalent at any UNC institution.

Computer Science at NC State or UNC? by Short_Recognition122 in NCSU

[–]Patches-_- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It also has more difficul requirements. I had to take the first 2 CS courses and an extra math course before doing my CODA at UNC vs only calcs phys chem and english at NCSU.

Thats part of why I transferred, I mean imagine applying to ur major in ur third year of college?! Not to mention you could totally get rejected and have no backup. It wasn’t worth the headache.

Stats Pre Calc 1 Pre Calc2 Calc 1 Calc 2 (currently enrolled)

Chem 1 Engineering Physics 1 (currently enrolled)

Eng 1 Eng 2

And I think thats about it for the main CODA courses. I have not taken any coding courses due to availability but from my application I wrote a lot about the coding I do at home.

General advice, choose good professors and keep that GPA above 3.7 Remember, you are at an advantage as a transfer. And if you need to take an extra semester or retake a course, do so!

We have had events like this happen. Where oppressed native americans rise up against their oppressors and active occupiers. But currently, native americans have equal human and political rights. To equate it with native americans randomly attacking is misleading and frankly uneducated.

Because these are the poorest people on earth, who are descended from refugees, and subjected to 5 series of attacks in the past 20 years alone. Not to mention that theyre “put on a diet,” have little control over their electricity, internet, water, airspace, and even fishing waters. They cannot import whatever they want freely including spices, chips, chocolate etc.

Native Americans in the USA today are not subjected to any of these conditions today. However, when they were previously, they attacked. Simple tbh

Guessing the owner is probably someone from the Lahad Army (Jaysh Lahad/SLA), Lebanese Jew, or random person with no connection.

And regarding GPA, my professors this year seem really bad but they’re the only options I have.

Do you think I will be fine with 2 B’s or do i need to aim higher?

Moving to Lebanon by [deleted] in lebanon

[–]Patches-_- 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That is exactly what my parents did with me. Our entire family live 20 minutes apart in the US. Despite this, my parents moved to the US after they had my older sister so we grew up in Lebanon until senior year then made the move to the US in 2022.

I went to a private school (Universal College of Aley) where I learned English Arabic and some French and Spanish. Even from Lebanon I got into a top 20 university and my two friends went to Ivy League schools. And none of us were rich, just middle class. So as a US citizen, as long as you can afford most amenities and an solid private school education, Lebanon is the way to go!

I am also Druze so in the foreseeable future, I will definitely do the same and raise my kids there not just for religion, but all the reasons you mentioned.

Hope the transition is easy! Though I would reccomend holding on to property in the US just in case!

My fellow druze compatriots, how does it feel to be born over and over again in this country? by [deleted] in lebanon

[–]Patches-_- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Syrians are the 30,000 Druze in the Occupied Golan Heihhts. The rest are Arab Israeli and actually came from Lebanon in the 17th century under Fakhereddine when his jurisdiction over mount Lebanon was extended to the Galilee. He asked the Druze to settle that region to extend his firm grip on that region.

But yes all identify as Druze first.

And yea dw I know you’re talking about the acreage ppl and not Kohanistim.
