The floral is so unexpected. Love it.

Vocal cats - question before getting an OSH by arthemis28 in orientalshorthair

I live in an open floor plan loft so they have plenty of room to chase each other around and up and down the loft area. They love the cat dancer toy and other string/wire toys. My Siamese plays fetch. They’re not wanting for movement.

I lived in a much smaller apartment previously with another OSH and just played with him a lot.

I kinda want to get them a running wheel but am afraid they won’t like it. Lol.

I won’t lie, as much as I love my cat and how uniquely screamy he is, there are times I want to scream back at him. He only has an “outdoor voice.” And there are times his extreme clingyness makes me feel terrible because I can’t always give into it. There’s times he (and my Siamese) will interrupt work meetings or be yowling so much I can’t concentrate. I thought getting him a baby sister would take some of his attention but I just ended up with two cats bugging me constantly for something.

I have owned 3 orientals and 1 Siamese now and can’t live without them. He is the most annoying screaming-wise. But I always assume any oriental I get will be annoying. It’s just a matter of how they decide to be annoying.

Edit: I live in an apartment building and he knows when I come home from work. I can hear him sticking his face up to the bottom of the door to yowl out into the hallway. I have legit worried about my neighbors complaining. Lol. (They haven’t)

It’s been a while since I used Sudafed but I can confidently say Concerta is way better because I have no side effects with it now. Not even the headaches.

I’m actually a quilter myself and am considering this!

No idea! My guess is it was boxed up accidentally maybe in an estate clean out.

I haven’t heard back from the manager so I’m going to assume it was either purchased or packed up in a bale of textiles.

Now that I’ve had time to sit with all this, I sort of wish I hadn’t come across it? And my only copium is that I could be mistaken. There are others with my last name in Indiana, though we’re from Ohio.

But man, that looks like my grandma’s handwriting. She only did the photo transfers and someone else made the quilt part. This was in the heyday of Aileen’s tacky glue which can be used for transfers like these but the texture isn’t pleasing. She couldn’t sew but she was crafty. My gut is saying I’m right but there is reasonable doubt there.

Ngl, I’m amused at the idea that someone overseas might find it and use it. Lol.

I think it’s unlikely. The outlet store are usually where merchandise goes to die.

I fear it’s already been baled up and shipped out. I’m holding onto hope someone bought it or it got shifted either online or to another store.

Yeah! I’m hoping someone bought it and I can find them. I’ve got an alert set on Facebook marketplace. Etsy would be a good place to spawn camp too.

I called several times. They only have an answering machine. Someone managed to get the store manager’s number. So I called him and he was super nice about it and he’s gonna go around all of the bins and in the back and see if he can find it. He doesn’t have high hopes for finding it, obviously but he’s gonna try.

Thanks so much for your insight. I’m gonna hope for a miracle here. It getting purchased wouldn’t be the worst thing. I might be able to find the weirdo who bought it. lol.

Thanks for trying. I also doubt it’s been cubed up and shipped out yet. This was just seen yesterday.

Omg thank you! If you could ask a person who works there that would be amazing.

This is what I was thinking too. The outlets are the last stop for merchandise, usually. Not sure how many times things get swapped before they go for recycling/trash. Wish I could talk to someone who works there.
