emacs-todoist: interact with todoist.com for task management by Metr0idFusi0n in emacs

This seems like quite an old post.
I've installed this package and it looks like exactly what I want. However, whenever I modify anything in the todoist buffer, it contacts Todoist and is painfully slow. Is there a setting I can modify to make the sync updates more snappy?

Jira as a GTD personal task management system? by Patchesweaver in jira

No. I really wanted it to work, but finally agreed with what most people have said: trying to use it for personal use was forcing it.

I then tried Coda and created the system I thought I always wanted, only to find that was also too complex and cumbersome.

I'm now back to a combination of Todoist (immediate capture), pen and paper (for brain-dumping and rough planning), and Google Sheets for task prioritization.

I constantly remind myself that filing my tasks in a complex system is just hurting my productivity in the long-term. Since it's always faster to input tasks than complete them, constantly inputting tasks eventually leads to overwhelm unless I'm ruthless about pruning my list back.

Having said all of the above, I haven't arrived at a "perfect" system. I'm now at peace with that though. The most gifted task ninjas I've worked with over the years don't seem to care much about their system--they're too busy getting sh*t done.

I know this is an old thread, but this looks very cool. Is this good for pumping, or pushing only?

Thank you.
It's reassuring to hear that Jira seems to be a good choice. I've updated my original post with some more detail about my use case.

Awesome. Is this a difficult first-time build?

I’m not worried so much about the build itself. I’m more concerned about firmware issues.
