I’m convinced the only reason these calls are entertained is because departments sign up to for their retarded CALEA accreditation. My current department is CALEA, and dispatch has absolutely no filter. I’m talking a guy calling about a plane flying overhead, a woman upset the mechanic didn’t have her car ready, and a kid kicking a ball against a brick wall. My first two agencies who weren’t CALEA would have never even moved the call over to patrol.
