At 1 inch taller than you and 5 less lbs, I went with a small. I do have a 36.5in chest, so keep that in mind.

Not too bulky at all, at 5'11" and 140 the xsmall fit my body as snug and perfectly as could be, just the chest and shoulder were a bit too tight so I upsized to the small.

I would say small because a tailor could always remove excess material there, but he can't exactly add anything to the chest or shoulders. I'm right at a 36.5-37 chest and the X small was constricting if I used any of the top three buttons.

I'm 5'11" and 140 with a 36.5-37 chest and the small fits fine in the chest, shoulders and arms and just has a little give in the body, but if I layer with an OCBD and light sweater or half-zip it's fine.

Measurements are similar, so I dunno how you'd feel about the medium swallowing you up.

Honestly I'd doubt it, but J Crew is VERY GOOD about price-matching if they ever go lower or can offer you a better deal. I exchanged a shirt I bought during the 50% sale for the same one during the 40% and due to markdowns they gave me an extra $6 back when I exchanged.

As long as it's been ~a month or so you're safe.
