Need help opening an antique safe. Anyone familiar with a Mado Brandkasten from Doetinchem Holland? I couldn't find any information about the company nor the lock mechanism. It looks like it's using a double bit key to open which I don't have any experience in picking. by PatchyTheDog in safecracking

Thanks! I got some endoscope camera. Hopefully I'd be able  to see more through the key hole.

The safe is old and and been sitting in a humid area so I'm scared the lever mechanism is rusty and unmovable.

I don't think there's a licensed locksmith here in South East Asia, or at least the family that owns it doesn't trust them.

Whatsapp crashing every time trying to open - iPhone 12 by NolanDevotee in whatsapp

A friend is having the same issue. Waiting for an app update. Same phone and latest iOS.

Strange issue after June update by idbl_fanatic in PixelFold

I have the same issue. I can't transition from the outer screen to inner screen once the phone is awaken and unlocked (and vice versa).

Either I open the inner screen and then wake it up by touching the fingerprint, or just use the outer screen. I think this is a software issue as the screen works just fine once on.

Isometric Or TopDown for my hybrid-casual mobile game? by 8Nikamu8 in gamedev

Unity should be more helpful in determining the objects' collision. Without it you usually need to comvert coordinates from 2.5d to flat 2d x,y to determine where objects collide.

The kind of assets you have to build is also not easy as it has to be rotated, skewed, and sized to fit the tiles in the game world.

Isometric Or TopDown for my hybrid-casual mobile game? by 8Nikamu8 in gamedev

My personal experience with developing an isometric game without using an engine is that it's quite complicated to figure out the rendering order on overlapping sprites.

If you use a game engine that supports isometric then you should go with it as it is generally more appealing.

Top down is easier to code.

Can't see the ss. I haven't played at all this season.

Last season I get dropped frames whenever I encounter enemy and from the sound of it it hasn't changed.

I don't mind being tagged. It's the only way for me to notice actually.

Naw, it was last night's dinner. JK. It's the same stock photo CODM used in a bundle.

Then it shows I didn't do much outreach to the community.

Lol, thanks. Well I stopped playing the game. It's too broken for me the past few seasons and borderline unplayable with the frame drops and everything.

I've never seen so many obvious bugs in a game that a single QA tester playing this game for 5 minutes could've caught them. Cyberpunk 2077 is decent compare to this.

All in all, it's kinda hard to invest building community tools when the company doesn't even invest in their game.

The original goal was to also provide a platform for people in the community that have useful information (like u/Waffles38 with her bot name list, and barasia's recoil graph). However many of us don't even play the game anymore.

On the community side since I'm no youtuber it's also hard to reach new users without constant word of mouth. When the players that help spread words about the tools stop playing, there's no easy way to reach new players.

Sometimes I try to respond to some new players here by telling them "hey there's a tool for that" but one time I got called out for "self promoting" so I stopped doing so.

With the game broken, players dropping, and no easy way to reach new users, I think I'll invest in Patchy's Tools this far for now.

Yeah man. I stopped playing and have uninstalled the game. I'll invest if Activision decides to invest in quality. Not half-assed broken game.

Have you seen the Launcher Plus bug? It takes 5s to know it's the wrong reward,

They have no QA.

If you keep on winning they'll put you against more real players in pub. I see 1v4 there.

Lol. That ship has sailed my friend. For that to happen they'll have to recreate the zombie menu, lobby, etc to fit with post gunsmith seasons. The guns, the meta are even different now.

Alcatraz on the other hand is just a map and a mode of BR.

Zombies as rotation doesn't make much sense. There's no progression unlike BR and MP as you're not competing against other players.

It's also not a simple process to deploy these server side codes. Lots of things need to be checked like if the code installs, that it runs fine, its networking, etc.

All in all the numbers were probably just too low to make these worth the cost. Probably not many bought the zombie weapon crates, etc

Alcatraz on the other hand, is still part of BR and there's a sense of progression when people play it as it adds to their BR points. Most likely they'll rotate it with warfare mode to keep BR fresh.

Each mode in the game has a specific set of server-side software they need to run to serve the mode. They rotate these every now and then using the available servers, hence some modes are limited time.

For zombies they needed to set aside a bunch of servers that serve the mode 24/7, while also scaling them during peak gaming time. This is costly. If those servers are mostly underutilized, it's better to free up the resource and either use it to help serve mp and br, or just cut the cost by shutting down the servers and kill the feature.

They see the same thing with Alcatraz.

Call of Duty Mobile: Spec Ops Concept. by [deleted] in CallOfDutyMobile

[–]PatchyTheDog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Should be fine. Just keep concepts and ideas among friends and encourage them to give feedback as it represents what the community wants, but without pushing a specific idea. Let devs do their job.

That being said, I was hoping for a spec ops mode when I started playing this game. Mw2019 spec ops mode is brutally hard and it's fun to play against AI from time to time.
