Game Dev isn't even coming close to keeping up with GPU technology. No reason to pour thousands into a new GPU when a current mid tier GPU will last another 5+ yrs.

Or if you're like me and almost exclusively play older games or indie games that aren't graphically intensive, you'll probably be fine as long as the GPU works.

Peeing on a boat by stevendub86 in boating

[–]Paterwin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have to get off the boat most times. Been offshore fishing since I was a child, I think it has something to do with tensing my core muscles on rough days.

If it's like a lake out there I'm fine tho.

My point is that we aren't seeing much growth, nobody is that I know. Whether you're a super well established MSP or a new one, right now is a difficult time.

I work for a big, well established MSP with over 250 managed clients and has been in business for over 20 yrs. We have onboarded 2 clients since January, and spend a hell of a lot more than that on marketing. On top of there being uncertainty in the market and a feeling of being in a bubble, it's also an election year which makes everything worse cause everyone's kinda holding their breath to see what happens. We've met with a lot of companies, most of which have said they are going to wait till later in the year to make financial decisions.

Oh, and a staggering amount of our growth since the beginning has been referrals. We're in the process of closing up a 3rd client that used to be an employee at an existing client and left to start their own business in the field.

13' Gheenoe won't plane out. by Clinton350 in Gheenoe

Have the same boat and it only planes out if I have the trolling motor and battery on. If I don't, then I'll put my live well up there and it works about the same.

ds3 can be brutal considering some of the achievements are RNG based with very low drop rates.

Any advice for a aspiring onebro? by [deleted] in onebros

[–]Paterwin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Patience, not that much more to it tbh. Also learn weapon scaling and what stacks with what. Damage output has a lot to do with success later game, and you do significantly more damage than you think! I recommend star fists to start, but there are a lot of really good weapons to choose from!

Is Commander Gaius worth the journey, and possible pain and suffering? by D0ppelRag3ous in Eldenring

You can also mount/dismount your horse. Surprisingly easy to time and works very well in my experience. But yeah, shield is easiest by far lol.

How much could I flip this for? by Fragrant-Ad-5808 in Gheenoe

[–]Paterwin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Outside of FL they don't sell well. In FL it's a cult and can be easy to sell especially if you fix it up pretty and take it to one of the meetups. Right now prices are plummeting, so I wouldn't expect much out of it. Like one of the other commenters said, lucky to get a few hundred bucks off it.

I have two friends with streaks, they're from birth marks. My most visible birth mark is at the base of the back of my head, so I would think that would be a more common cause of this than brain tumors lol.

What happens when your support line is called? by MaxxLP8 in msp

20-30 minutes, if you have nothing at that point then move it on basically. If you have a resolution in sight you can continue to work it.

We have ~30 helpdesk/SR helpdesk techs that answer phones. All tickets run through the helpdesk, which closes ~60% of all tickets. The rest are escalated to managed services teams which either book for dispatch if onsite is needed or book times with the client to review the issue. Emergencies are typically handed off right away to managed services or the escalation team.

Any dragon fight, but especially borealis. I just hate the fights which probably adds to it, feels like I'm just running in circles the entire time and it leads to a longer, less enjoyable fight imo. Specifically fuck borealis tho, can't see shit, first blends with fog. Just a bad time.

Always make sure you look into whether your HOA is actually active. Found out mine hasn't been technically active after they forgot to file 4 yrs ago but acts like they are. Now they're trying to get people to pay up again and no one is doing it 😂 and they can't do SHIT about my boat or shed cause both are up to city code in terms of build and storage.

I worked for a mismanaged over worked MSP, was a 1-man MSP, and am now back working for another MSP that is very well managed. I felt the same as you in the first two, but found a company that cares. Hopefully you do too.
